Day 5 Royal Ascot: feeling much like Trawlerman in the final furlong of the Gold Cup, I’m pleased to report I stayed longer than most expected and only failed to make it to lights out by a short head.

A big thank you to those who made this week as comfortable as possible (and still loads of fun) for me whilst in foal! 🙏🏻

Hat: made originally for the Derby Hats project and purchased by Drew (so it’s basically mine again 😆)
Shoes: Monoprix sandals because heels were not a day 5 option 🙅🏻‍♀️

This incredible ensemble was created to celebrate 10 years of stylist extraordinaire working with the fabulous

When Sarah approached me with the initial concept, a hand-painted dress inspired by Rococo decorative frescos created by the talented I knew I had to come up with something different.

So I’ve dusted off my costume and art degree and I’ve come up with this Trompe-l’œil boater...
a bit of Schiaparelli, a bit of Capucci, a sprinkle of Marie Antoinette...and here we have it.
