Very exciting collaboration underway with award winning comedian and mental health activist ♥️

I will be creating Juliette’s stage costumes for her show next year and before I create the pieces, we are facilitating workshops together where the participants create the textiles that will be used for the costumes!

First workshop took place earlier this week in Brighton for .collective Summit 🌟

I recently created a skirt for in the amazing Diakwu cloth!

Each piece of is unique and individual as it’s made from textile waste. Hand woven on looms in Abuja, Nigeria.

I created a minimal design to accommodate for the details in the cloth. So much texture and artisan craft woven throughout the cloth 😍

More photos from a recent textiles and mental health workshop I hosted at All Souls C of E Primary School with their Year 5's :)

Lovely feedback from the teacher -

“The session was inspiring and filled with great examples of how design and textiles can help with our mental well-being, the children were very engaged and thoroughly enjoyed creating their own design. They were curious and eager to ask you many questions Sarah so this sparked a lot of conversation with many connections being made as some children shared their own artistic outlet.”

I am available for bookings - if you work in a primary school, please feel free to reach out!

I was recently invited to to run a textiles workshop for International Day of Peace as part of their welcome week for new students!

In the workshop students created their own peace patch for them to sew on their own garments, bags etc as a way to advocate for solidarity and peace.

Some students created a stamp by carving into lino and then stamping it onto fabric. Some embroidered their peace logo onto fabric.

Everyone’s patch came out so well and each one is unique. 🌟 Here are some photos of the students creations!! I really enjoyed facilitating the workshop 😍

Super excited to share with you one of the hats for Shape of Stigma in collaboration with .fashions_ - launching end of this year 😍😍

Reworking from one to three. Tria, which translates to 3 in Latin, is the many faces of stigma.

Stigma often happens from insensitive words and negative attitudes, it’s shown in plain sight. Yet it can also happen in more subtle and discreate ways, through silence, body language, and actions.

At my recent event we shared a preview of Shape of Stigma new collection coming out at the end of the year with .fashions_ !!

modelling it beautifully 😍We are so excited to show you it!

Shape of Stigma will be exploring mental health stigma and how it shapes us all. The collection is a thread of people’s experiences being shared. Each piece weaves the voices of who are often not heard. With a conscious effort on sustainability, each emotive piece will be reworked from recycled materials to open up the conversation and create social change.

Thank you so much to everyone who attended my event on Sunday for London Fashion Week. I am still buzzing from it!

Thank you to and for sharing their stories and the important role fashion plays for our mental health.
Meaningful and deep conversations were had and shared. It was a privilege to do a talk alongside two fantastic speakers!! ♥️

Thank you to , and for all your help with creating the event. also thank you for your help and support on the day, curating the exhibition and providing drinks, you are a star 🌟 Jon thank you for being a fab host on the night - so grateful for the support from .collective!

I am feeling immense love and gratitude to everyone who was involved in helping me pull this event off. It was a real team effort. 💫

And all the people who took time out of their day to attend the event, there was so much beautiful energy in the room. I got to see many faces who I know and love dearly as well as meet wonderful new people! ♥️

My talk involved me sharing a part of my mental health story publicly for the first time around sexual violence. It was therapeutic to share parts of my pain, that I have, over time, managed to channel into beauty.

I also shared a preview of new collection Shape of Stigma with Eva Serion from .fashions_ which is so exciting and I can’t wait for it to launch end of this year - you are all in for a treat 😉

More photos & videos to come from the night!!

More photos from the recent blouse I created for my mother to wear on my brothers wedding day.

This month is and to keep on topic, this blouse was repurposed from an old pashmina scarf my mother had in her wardrobe.

I also used the tassels from the scarf for the tassels!

There possibilities are endless when it comes to repurposing clothes in our wardrobe!

Photos from the jacket I created for after the workshop session I held with their Year 6's.

I asked each child to create a piece of artwork that depicted an emotion they have experienced recently. Using fabric pens and embroidery threads they created their piece of artwork.

Each patch on the jacket is a child's work, individually expressed, just like how we all experience emotions from a unique perspective. ❤

I really enjoyed hosting these workshops and looking forward to hosting more in the future🌟
