11 years ago I dreamed up a product for my potty training toddler…
Nearly 5 years ago I finally manufactured it and it’s been quietly saving families ever since!
🧚I wrote a story to turn going to the toilet into a magical fun experience to go with the Whizzer so turning it in book form packed with expert advice was always the goal.
🤩There’s simply nothing like the Whizzer and the fact that I managed to make it glow-in-the-dark… well I surprised myself there!

Heyyy, I’ve missed you! 🥹 I’ve been conscious it’s been a little quiet on my socials 🫣

Truth is — life’s been anything but. From growing this tiny idea in 2021 into something that is a saviour to thousands each day, while I juggle single mum life and living out my career dreams, I’m still packing orders from my living room… it’s been a ride!

The best bit is that I’ve finally found a sense of calm and happiness for the very first time thanks to finding my soul mate so I’ve stepped away from socials to protect that 💜

I’ve missed showing up here though. Missed sharing the messy, exciting and utterly chaotic bits with you. But every moment offline has helped build something even more meaningful behind the scenes.

So here’s a little peek into what’s been happening while things looked still on the surface.

Cool Mum status upgraded 🤩

Being a part of the community has been nothing short of phenomenal since joining and now have announced a game-changing collaboration with which couldn’t be more meaningful to mine and Maysons journey.

🐉 I travelled to Manchester in June 2022, leaving Mayson for the first time since starting the business to pitch in the den.
⚽️ I promised him that if we got a good result I’d return with a long-awaited first Man City Shirt… Bagging 2 dragons was enough to have me heading straight into town and even getting it personalised.

🥳 Meeting him at the station and handing it over was a moment I won’t forget (photo shared in stories).

🤷‍♀️ Fast forward to today when I told him the shocking stat that 81% of 11-18-year olds couldn’t name a single female entrepreneur and that the football team he lives and breathes is now helping to change that with this new campaign.

🧑‍🧒 Mayson been by my side as I hustled and sacrificed everything we have to turn my invention into a business.
And I too am the one standing at pitch side of every match he plays, supporting and championing his own dreams.

🤔 We’d never noticed the similarities in the mindset needed to succeed in both careers until we talked it through.

💥I often wonder if the fact he can name every single player and stat of both the Man City Men’s and Women’s Team alike is a result of being brought up by a single mum who has always made sure he knew the power of a woman’s abilities to do anything and everything.

🤩 So we don’t just need to be inspiring the next generation of girls to know they can be Founders or Footballers, we need to make sure that the next generation of boys are equip to support them as brothers, Dads, partners or colleagues to encourage them every step of the way to reach their dreams and goals.

2024 Success vs Reality

I learnt a valuable lesson today when making this post that I wanted to share if you sometimes feel lost.

I’ve spent the last few weeks listening to this internal voice saying I’ve failed in 2024 which sounds ridiculous if you only look at the photos I’ve posted here.

But it’s because I hadn’t got the business to where it should be and the truth is it still isn’t providing an income for me after 4 years of relentless hard work and sacrifice.

But then I started to look back on what it has brought me in 2024…
🤩4 years ago I’d only dreamed of making it to 10,000 orders on my website (thanks to all those who avoided prime and came directly 🫶🏼)
🥳 that means my little invention has helped thousands of people in stressful moments
🤩it’s taken me to places and allowed me to speak my truth on stages I’ve only dreamed of
💜 It’s allowed me to have the flexibility of working and being a single parent to support Mayson through the hardest year
👵🏼 And I’ve reached the age of 40 feeling like I’ve finally achieved something worthwhile with friendships that span decades
😮‍💨 And through all the set-backs I’ve faced behind the scenes from losing my warehouse, legal battles for my brand and people taking my kindness for weakness… my business is surviving into 2025!
💰And none of that is attributed to the money I’ve made.
💜So I what I’ve learnt is that comparing yourself, your success or your life to others will stop you seeing what you have achieved by just being you 💜

A festive hello to anyone who’s still with us- we’re still here! 🫶🏼
I’ve taken one hell of a long break from socials and it’s been so hard to come back but there’s so much to tell you!
I just wanted to wait until I could see the wood for the (Christmas) trees 🎄 or the starry light at the end of the festive tunnel 🌟
🎢 We’ve endured a constant rollercoaster behind the scenes as I fight to keep my business, my boy, my health and life in general together.
🎁 But I’m ready to put all the awful people and experiences behind me as a gift of life lessons and more resilience building because tarnishing peoples reputations does nothing for the soul as we enter the start of a new beginning!
✌🏻We’ll be saying goodbye to the old Kiddiwhizz as you know it and we have so much NEWNESS to share.

🆕I haven’t even announced I launched the XL Whizzer in the summer because the batches I’d made sold out!

Festival Fun always requires a Whizzer in tow right?!

Reliving memories and messages we’ve had as I’ve not been well enough to be there this year… Be warned I do screenshot your messages so I can cheer myself up and remind myself why I do this 😂

was always at the top of the Whizzer domination festival hit list and despite not securing a stall, I would still rock up with Whizzers in tow to soak up the atmosphere and meet the families who were being saved by theirs! (Never braved camping though😬)

Me, The Whizzer and Afternoon Tea at No.10 all thanks to

📖Story-time again!
“You are destined for Downing st Miss-Can Do” my Grandad said to me 20 years ago as a teenager whose Dads sudden Stroke had left him in a coma and me running his business.

At the time I laughed at how wildly out of reach that would be given how dire the circumstances were.
Yet, yesterday thanks to being a welcomed into the incredible BUY WOMEN BUILT community, I had the honour to have been selected out of over 1000 businesses to receive an invite to in a celebration of female entrepreneurship.
The warmth and solidarity that radiated from every single woman on that formidable guest list was indescribable.

💜 To walk into a room where whose book ‘Do what you love, love what you do’ sits as inspiration beside you as you graft day and night is the first face you see.

🤩 Stood amongst these women who contribute 2 billion pounds to the economy and yet stats say 81% of 11-18yr olds can’t name a female entrepreneur!

📞 Yet there I was following the last panicked attempt at FaceTiming Mayson after my pitch on Dragons Den with a camera in my face only to hear it ring out, and he did it again! Luckily like that time I managed to get him in the end…because he’s a part of everything I do so he had to be there in some form!

💥So each time you head to the shops look out for the kite mark on packaging to know you’re buying a product built by a woman because they would have sacrificed everything they have to make that possible!
