The DSYF Coalition brings together organisations and community leaders working to prevent youth violence, create opportunities and amplify young people’s voices.

Lives Not Knives, a youth-led charity working to prevent knife crime, serious youth violence and school exclusions. Through mentoring, education and early intervention, they provide trusted support, safe spaces, practical skills and positive opportunities that help young people recognise their strengths and move forward.

We loved speaking to young people about their dreams for the future.

One dreams of becoming a sports medicine doctor. Inspired by sport and the Olympic Games, they hope to support athletes, help people recover from injuries and make a difference through medicine.

From a screenplay and a phone to the big screen.
Danny Mbanginu wrote Immersed in Shadows at just 16, then starred in, co-directed, scored and edited the film himself.

Now 20, his story has reached 8.9 million views and over 740,000 likes online.

From 3–31 August, a national surrender scheme will provide a safe and anonymous way to hand in knives and other dangerous items, without judgement or questions.

Items can be handed in at funded surrender bins or through Faron Alex Paul’s mobile surrender van. Surrender options are available in London, Greater Manchester, the West Midlands, West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire.

Today, we remember Ronan Kanda and honour his life and legacy.

We recognise the extraordinary strength of Ronan’s family, who turned unimaginable loss into a tireless campaign for change. We are honoured to stand with them and support their work to help protect other young people.

One year on from Ronan’s Law, we’ve seen encouraging signs of progress. More than 63,000 knives have been removed from circulation, while the latest figures show reductions in knife crime, knife-related homicides and knife-enabled robberies.

Ronan’s Law represents an important step towards making our communities safer, but legislation is only one part of the solution.

At Don’t Stop Your Future, we remain committed to prevention, support and opportunity, because every young person deserves the chance to thrive.
