cave A combination of a shop, workshops, and a gallery space. But with this knowledge, they still make the decision to pursue a career in the arts.

Introducing 'cave' a space on a mission to find itself and its place in an ever-changing throw-away world…

Today’s emerging artists entering the contemporary art world are aware that they will very likely have to commit to a second-paying job for the foreseeable future to make ends meet. The day-to-day running of 'cave' comprises a second-hand shop with workshop and studio space selling ready-mad

e, craft, vintage, and designer items from invited artists and donators…

Keeping the interest around the space exciting with an ever-changing range of things on sale with proposed and spontaneous creative happenings within the space. A space that people will want to come to just to see ‘what’s happening there today’. The space is well stocked with the never-ending amount of things found daily discarded on the streets of Pimlico from old furniture, re-claimed building materials, and everyday objects, with the hope that over time people will drop selective things into us to be re-cycled, transformed and given a new life for others to enjoy or by commissioning our cave artists to refresh and re-create. Connecting with other art spaces, galleries, and artists, we aim to open up an exchange of ideas and to realise the potential of the area and its diversity.

✨NEW EXHIBITION✨
'In Flux' by Erin Lindsay & Aliyah Azam

31/7– 1/8/26 12–6pm
PV Friday 31/7 6–8pm

'In Flux' is an exploration of found marks, materials and forms, featuring the work of two contemporary artists Aliyah Azam and Erin Lindsay. The work has developed through collecting and manipulating source materials and images, abstracting from the original form and creating combinations which allow the meaning to fluctuate. The exhibition shows both solo and collaborative work, coming out of a period of shared making and dialogue.

The work on show ranges from moving image to oil paintings, brought together by textile pieces constructed through collective conversation and exploration between the artists. This period of making has been heavily process based, with Azam and Lindsay both using elements of their solo practice. Out of this has come a series of experimental textile pieces, expanding the boundaries of each artist's work going forward.

About the artist:
Jenny Kallin
I am a retired Library conservator who creates art at home from my collection of dolls houses and from items seen in museums.
I have an art degree from many years ago, and even used to hold small art exhibitions as a child, along with my brother. My art was part of family shows at Burgh House with three of our children.
I have also exhibited at Beach Creative in Herne Bay, and at Museums in Maidstone and Basingstoke and at Bankside.
Currently I have work on show at the House of Smalls in Edinburgh, and of course I have taken part in several group shows at Cave, Pimlico.
My favourite artists are Alfred Kubin, George Cruikshank and Bruno Shulz and I love the drawings of Henry Moore.
I have recently illustrated a book of poems in collaboration with my husband.
Thank you to all at Cave.
