Super excited to announce my most significant achievement so far! The acquisition by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London of this look to be part of the Middle East collection! The “Ronda” coat and “Meshmesh” dress from Spring Summer 18 were part of the winning collection of the Fashion Prize 2017. The 'Ronda' coat uses a motif from a traditional Yemeni men’s ‘Me’waz’ or ‘Futah’ embroidered in the front of the garment in a corset shape. The 'Meshmesh' dress underneath is made from cotton mesh with horn buttons, the contrasting flap details inspired by a Vionnet dress from the 30s.

Exclusively on Vogue Arabia, “Embroidery for a Long Song” featuring key pieces from our AW18 collection. This is our second film with director Amirah Tajdin, it was commissioned for Future Rising, a collaboration between W Hotels Worldwide and Mixcloud.

See you at my TODAY AT APPLE talk and mood-board workshop next Tuesday the 17th at 7:30PM at the store . After a little talk we will work on designing a garment by observing our surroundings for interesting details and textures and putting it together with sketches on the IPad Pro using the Apple Pencil. Fun times 🌟
