This Westminster cope and humeral veil was handcrafted in addition to the High Mass set we shared recently.

The Cream and Sarum Red silk damasks are beautifully highlighted by the gold 'Diamond & Lay' trims — a perfect complement to the Japanese gold thread crown of thorns on the hood. The pelican embroidery at its centre is a larger version of the hand-embroidery on the matching chasuble.

As today is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, we looked back at one of our predominant embroidery motifs: the sunburst.

The extending rays of the sun rendered in radiant Japanese gold thread was particular favoured in the designs of G. F. Bodley, one of our founders. It has been an enduring and beloved motif at Watts ever since, featured across copes, chasubles, and much more in glorious gold threads.

This stunning High Mass set was handcrafted in our 'Stag' silk damask with orphreys of Sarum Red 'Bellini'. The Full Gothic chasuble is adorned with the gold-flecked feathers of the pelican and her chicks, beautifully hand-embroidered within a Crown of Thorns.

Japanese Gold thread and pearl purl twinkle in the light with their variety of textures, while the silk shading of the pelican is a perfect choice for the tactile feathers.

We take pride in all of our vestments here at Watts, but it's no secret that we're especially excited to see hand-embroidered designs as they progress from sketch to stitch. It's such a joy to see the finished pieces before they are sent on their journey homewards.

For the feast of the Immaculate Heart today, we're drawn to the elegance of these matching bespoke Marian vestments. The Abbey cope and Gothic chasuble were both handcrafted in our 'Comper Cathedral' silk damask, with the main fabric in Cream and the orphrey in Bellini Blue.

The extra details — the subtle blue velvet embellishments, the contrasting purple braid, and a hand-embroidered quatrefoil — elevates the set beautifully. Designing these unique pieces is a true joy, and it's wonderful to see such elements come together stitch by stitch in our workroom.

This matching cope and Low Mass set was handcrafted in our Cream 'Holbein' silk damask with 'Stag' Cloth of Gold orphreys.

The Portsmouth cope hood is the perfect shape to showcase the Stags' leaping movements. Paired with a tassel and matching trim, the hood and orphreys glow warmly under the light against the soft sheen of the Cream silk.

We hope you all have a wonderful Trinity Sunday!

The bright combination of our Cream 'Gothic' silk damask and our White & Gold 'Memlinc' felt like perfect for such a feast as the Holy Trinity. The wide pillar orphreys of the Classic style chasuble beautifully showcases the 'Memlinc' pattern.

As a bespoke vestment, this piece was carefully hand-stitched in our workroom.

Cream, Blue, Black, and Gold come together beautifully in this Pugin style Low Mass set — fully bespoke, and handmade in our workroom.

The orphrey, in our Black & Bellini Blue 'Gothic' silk damask, is quite a bold design, and when used as an orphrey it takes on a powerful depth at the centre of the chasuble. Our signature 'Diamond & Lay' braid lifts these deep hues with its golden details, like a bridge to the mellow tones of our Cream 'Comper Cathedral'.
