We are thrilled to join Sugarhill Boutique and Plan International for … Girls continue to be the single most discriminated against and excluded group in the world. Today we stand with Plan International to celebrate the achievements of girls everywhere – and highlight the urgent change we need to make happen, to end gender inequality for good. Girls have the power to create lasting change in their lives and in the world around them, they just need our support.

At 17, Binita had to leave school so she could help support her family. She signed up to Plan International’s masonry training course – enabling her to earn higher wages and help her brother and sister continue studying. “Before the training, people did not think I would be able to build. But I felt confident and wanted to prove them wrong,” she says. This International Day of the Girl Plan International UK want to and help all girls overcome inequality and injustice. In honour of the , we wanted to tell you a little more about Sugarhill Boutique project. Taking their quirky prints and timeless breton styles beyond their seaside home, Sugarhill have decided to design three t-shirts to support three incredible charities. Firstly, the Born Free Foundation dedicate themselves to keeping wild animals in the wild, £10 from each Giraffe tee sold by Sugarhill will go towards their Giraffe Conservation project. Next, Plan International UK's mission is to empower and improve the lives of young children across the world, particularly young girls affected by poverty, violence and discrimination. £10 from each Breton sold will go to Plan International UK’s Girls Fund. Lastly, Whoopsadaisy is a Brighton charity who provide vital conductive education for local children suffering from Cerebral Palsy and other motor disorders, £10 from each Rainbow tee will go towards the physical therapy of a child with motor difficulties.
