THE 8809 TIDAL MOC - LIMITED NUMBERS STILL AVAILABLE

For Austin based multimedia artist Laura Rostad, the cyanotype process is exactly that: a practice rooted in patience, precision and working by hand. While faster methods exist, she embraces each step finding purpose in slowing down and seeing the work through.

“I enjoy the slow process,” Laura says. “When you get a print you’re in love with, it’s the best feeling in the world. To put it up on the wall and say, ‘I did that.’”

‘I’ve been working next to Red Wing London for 2 years now, I got my first pair shortly after starting and couldn’t take them off.

My second followed the next year which have become my favourite ever since stylish, comfortable and convenient for almost any occasion. I love how they look and how I feel when wearing them. Can’t wait to have a third pair.’

‘I’ve had these 8271 engineer boots for 4 years now, and I love that they’re an interesting spin on something classic. They’ve still got the steel toe cap and a classic woodsman heel, which is what I love about them. There is no compromise on durability and functionality when making stylish, classic boots.

Working in costume design for film and tv, I’ve worn a pair of Red Wings from Soho streets to windy beaches and wet Welsh mountains. I’ve had several women come to me at work and ask what work boots they should buy - every time I send them to Red Wing London, knowing they’ll be in safe hands.’

‘I wanted a pair of Red Wing boots for about 12 years before finally buying a pair. It wasn’t until this past December that I got a bonus at work and finally decided I was going to treat myself to a pair. Being able to go into the store and get my feet measured and speak to the guys about sizing was so good and definitely helped me pull the trigger on buying a pair.

Needless to say the boots didn’t disappoint and I wear that at any given opportunity! I love that the guys in the shop are passionate and knowledgeable about the brand and so able to give well informed advice. I’ve already made a couple of trips back, eyeing up what will be my next pair!’

‘I bought my first pair of Red Wings 12 years ago and they quickly became my everyday boots. My current pair of 875’s are 18 months old. They are easy to wear, go with everything and are instantly recognisable as a Red Wing boot. You can’t go wrong with a classic.’ - Alex

‘I am wearing my 3373’s here, which I have had customised with a black men’s boot sole. I have made so many great memories in these boots since I bought them in 2019, and I always reach for them time and time again.’ - Morgan

‘I have other Red Wing boots but my Pecos were the first pair in a rough out leather. I got them at the London store, I fell in love with them immediately. For the first 2-3 months I wore them almost daily, to work and on the bike in all kinds of London weather. Now they’re broken in, really comfortable and show all the signs of how I wear them, with indigo lines along the shaft and a smoothed out line on the left toe box from shifting gears.’

Red Wing London Community x Costa Kardana and the 875 Moc Toe.

‘I’ve always loved my Red Wings. I’ve had this pair of 875’s for around 7-8 years now and they’ve kept my feet dry and comfortable every step of the way. After all these years, they’re still going strong.

Big love to the Red Wing London team too. I’ve known them for years and it’s always a pleasure to stop by, catch up and have a good chinwag. Great people, great company.’
