Founded in 2024 by designer Síofra Murphy, Sannt is a sustainable Womenswear brand that transforms pre-loved clothes and textiles into one-of-a-kind pieces.

Everything is handmade by Síofra in her south-east London studio.

Been a little quiet here recently as I’ve been completing work and preparing for the arrival of our second child. It’s a super exciting time, and one with a lot of ‘what if’s?’ as this time around I commence my maternity leave as the founder of a business and self employed.

The postpartum period can be very unpredictable, and one that I know will demand a lot of my mental energy, so whilst I’ll continue to check in here, I’m also going to take a little pause to focus on the inevitable demands of becoming a mother for the 2nd time. Thank you to my customers for your patience whilst I navigate this time, and to my business partners and stockists- I will be undoubtedly gagging to use ‘that part of my brain’ again very soon!

Certainly hadn’t planned for this launch to have also been a co- pregnancy announcement, but actually it felt very liberating to style this piece from an entirely different perspective (and swap the heels out for a pair of ballet flats)!

Just under 3 hours until The Bib launches for waitlisters (at 7pm) and then subscribers and others thereafter.

As I was styling this today, I couldn’t get over how versatile it was with the different pieces I tried it on with. Genuinely one of the loveliest layers to wear throughout the seasons (no 3 months stints with this guy 😉).

It is a super limited quantity in this beautiful chocolate brown wool, and will come in 2 sizes;

Just under 12 months in business, and it has flown by! From taking on my first ever studio space in Greenwich back in January to ending the year with sending a made to order piece all the way to Brooklyn NY just in time for Christmas, it feels really fulfilling to look back at what 2024 has brought for me and my brand.

I had some very clear goals when launching Sannt in February, and I won’t pretend that everyone of those has been ticked off, because starting a business is as much about working things out as you go along as it is about bringing finished products into the world that are meaningful and intentional, and that takes time. However, the beginnings of something that I always planned to be a slow burn have started and I’m looking forward to building on those foundations!

I feel incredibly grateful to all of the customers that have believed and invested in a Sannt piece, and I can’t wait to work on new designs for you and new customers this year… Just going to spend a small part of this sleepy January planning out what this will look like, and how I can do things better, as I believe there is always room for review and improvement!

Building a new network, specifically within the sustainability space was a very important objective for me, and the connections I’ve built have been so invaluable. Every step forward has been in collaboration with another person and for that I’m thankful. To the amazing collaborators… .works ❤️
