I am absolutely thrilled to announce that I shall be teaching my 2 part Fan Headdress Making Class at March 11th and March 13th.

"Learn to create a dramatic headpiece perfect for performance in this 2 part class from NYC designer Veritée Hill. Veritée will take you through the construction of a dynamic structure using couture techniques (and insider shortcuts).

Using wirework and heavy duty buckrum, we will create a base structure to support the weight of embellishments and create visually impactful wirework head-dresses.

Once you have constructed your framework you will learn to design and complete your unique and dramatic headpiece. This technique is ideal for performance wear, photoshoots and special events.

Some homework is required between sessions so please plan to create some work time.

All basic materials included, hand sewing skills are necessary.

I am absolutely thrilled to announce that my entry "Madame Paon Doré" for won first place in The Elizabethan Era Section!

It has truly been an honour to be part of this amazing competition with so many incredibly talented designers from around the world.

I started construction on "Madame Paon Doré" in 2020 and shipped her out to New Zealand in 2021 for judging. The awards show was postponed until 2022 due to Covid. I truly wish I could have been there in person to participate in the festivities.

This headdress/headpiece has only been worn once for a photoshoot (as pictured) and is in perfect condition.

Features/measurements:
-18" across at widest point
-10" high from hair band
-16 wired latex orchids out of three different shades of purple latex (two shades are transparent)
-latex covered hair band
-hair band is 2" wide
-hair band lined in felt with comb and elastic strap for comfort and fit
