“In the rush to return to normal, use this time to consider which parts of normal are worth rushing back to” Dave Hollis
I saw this quote at the weekend, and it made me consider what will the future holds. This quote potentially implies a visage of a new Utopian idealist society, however, in reality, most would welcome some degree of normality back into their lives. I expect an answer may be found in the middle ground.
With uncertainty, we are working with unknowns and this does not allow us to act with confidence. Our society thrives on confidence and when removed it shows the weakness in the system. This can be scaled down to our businesses and I am sure we all have learnt many lessons over the last few weeks.
Like society we must adapt to, even embrace, uncertainty. We must be confidence not only in our political, economic and welfare systems but with our businesses.
So, before I rush to return to normal, I will use this time to consider which parts of normal are worth rushing back too but I will also look for which parts of normal were missing.
