A few days ago I found my work from years back featured in the English Heritage handbook guides from 2023/24 - a whole 4 years since the project completed!
What a beautiful moment to come full circle back to, seeing a book with my work on my aunts bookshelf way up in Yorkshire, completely unaware !
✨✨
This truly was a magnificent project which I loved so much. The rich hand dyed materials, then hand printed and hand painted gave such depth to the costumes and I can’t wait to get back to the artistry of costumes like this again!

Installation the Lady Waterford dress at Highcliffe Castle for their year-long Lady Waterford exhibition ✨

If you’re visiting the area be sure to check it out and the beautiful castle!
Designed, researched and constructed by myself, This project took over 2 months to complete and was made historically accurate as a late 1850’s dress based on images of Louisa herself. Made from golden pure silk fabric with lace trim, it was a joy to construct.
