It really is a story of us 🥹🔒Feeling very nostalgic/emotional this week. As a one woman business, you sometimes forget to pause, look back and realise just how far you’ve come (it really does all become a blur… and imposter syndrome, comparison and burnout definitely don’t help) 🙈
The best thing about Nimiiny is that we grow together. Sometimes I outgrow Nimiiny and sometimes Nimiiny outgrows me… but here we all are, 8 years later ~ still evolving 🥹
If I’m honest, there are moments when I feel like the brand isn’t growing, but that usually happens when I compare myself to other brands that are often much bigger than mine, with teams behind every department. Building a dream takes time, work and often sacrifice, especially when you’ve built it from 0 investment and have done practically everything yourself for so long.
This year, I’ve already made some BIG behind the scenes changes that are really going to help me (not instantly but will definitely be working in my favour by the end of the summer) after realising I need to let go in order to grow. One of the best things I invested in was a course with mentorship that has given me so much motivation and simple strategies to manage the business better. I also have a seamstress coming on board very soon to help get your orders out quicker and give me more time back in the business to execute so many exciting projects > pop ups > newww designs (some really cool ideas that have been on the back burner for months 😱), … the list keeps growing 😁 ♡
Every collection, campaign, late night idea, archive image, lesson, risk, juggle alongside all the little moments has been stitched together over the years to create what Nimiiny is today. So I thought a visual dairy of where we began to where we are now would be so cute to mark the mood🥹
