A view from all angles of my ‘The Debutant’ hat created for this year’s Royal Ascot Collective, in collaboration with designer ( who instigates the years theme as the collectives creative Director )
I was thrilled to be asked to be one of the 11 milliners chosen to design and create a special piece for this very unique hat event.
This year’s theme was Cecil Beaton’s ‘Bright Young Things’ we where all given a specific colour , mine being Charcoal Black, enabling Daniel to create his very own version of Dior’s photo campaign shot by Cecil Beaton in the late 1940’s ( I believe)

Looking forward to seeing some of these pieces again in June, making there debut at Royal Ascot.

Such a joy to celebrate with millinery and fashion friends.
This years collective themed ‘Crowning The season’ inspired by Cecil Beaton’s Bright Young Things.

This year we where all allocated a colour , creating a wonderful iconic scene of block colours. I got Charcoal black! Thank you Mr Daniel Fletcher for your Design input on this wonderful Millinery event, and to for all the support Royal Ascot gives to milliners and Hatters both near and far!

Places are still available on this my Polystyrene class and other classes at Septembers Premiere Millinery Conference in North America - Millinery Meet up . So not too late to still sign up to attend this September. My polystyrene block making class will help you stand out from other hat makers and milliners, allowing you to create whatever hat shapes you can possibly imagine.
It is not a class that is often offered due to the restrictions of open space and correct facilities. So please join me and grab this opportunity to add a new skill to your hat making techniques.

Spotted sneaky behind the scenes shots have been shared by actress who plays in the up and coming movie Jimmy in cinemas from 6th November 2026.
A film about Actor Jimmy Stewart’s war time experiences .
I was honestly thrilled to be asked to make Hedda’s hats for this movie plus a piece for Gloria his wife.
Working with Irish costume designer team ( the movie was filmed in Ireland) and Aileen Fuller was such a joy.
