Wrapping August with a spin through my camera roll. A red hot whirlwind of Colour, Christmas, Chaos and Children! It was a non-stop jugglathon of Christmas samples, Summer27 Swatches and shoots, woven through with plenty of giggles, the odd catastrophe, fresh inspiration and new adventures.

While it’s a long way from being “under control”, its amidst this happy chaos that unexpected ideas emerge; new colour combinations, new partnerships and new beginnings. Happy September everyone. 🍂

This week we sat down with in Morocco 🇲🇦 to learn basket embroidery.

Different craft, different country, but the same quiet patience we know so well from hand smocking. Nothing rushed, nothing shortcut. Just something beautiful made by hand and built stitch by stitch.

And of course, we couldn’t resist stitching our own Smock London flowerette onto our bags while we were at it 🪡🧵

We’ve been overjoyed to discover this incredible corner of Morocco. An absolute riot of kids, colour and chaos set against a backdrop of dazzling pattern and craft woven through every carpet, tile and basket, and of course, surrounded by the stitch and swish of a glorious collection of new season Smocks.

We’ve come away inspired, nourished and renewed. We can’t wait to share it all with you.
