🇺🇦 It is so heartbreaking to hear the news regarding Ukraine. Our best wishes are with all of the innocent victims of these tragic events, and we hope for peace as soon as possible ❤️ Our factory in Kiev, who has been working on Evalyn & Asra production has sadly had to close down and will be relocated as a result of this recent news. This will cause some delay with our launch, but for now we are just hopeful that everyone stays safe✌️❤️

Happy new year! 🎊
You know, starting this small business has taken far longer than I ever imagined it would take. Every obstacle has shown it’s face along the way, and let me tell you, I mean every obstacle that I could possibly need to face. BUT we are so close now, almost at the finish line, and I’m so happy to have pushed through and developed products that I’m confident to present later this year. Evalyn & Asra is coming soon, thank you so much for staying with us for the journey! ✌️❤️

🌳We have joined Ecologi, a company committed to reducing carbon, slowing global warming, and ultimately reforesting the planet. 🌳 Planting trees is one of the best long-term solutions that can help prevent climate change and Evalyn & Asra are excited to be contributing to the amazing work that Ecologi are doing all over the world. 🌍

We are helping to fund climate crisis solutions, by planting diverse groves of trees and off-setting the carbon emissions of our company. Per team member, Ecologi plants 144 trees every year, which equates to over 14 tonnes of CO2 removed from the air, per person, per year. As our business grows, so will our impact. ✌❤

So, a big box full of grape-leather goodies may or may not have arrived on my desk this morning. 👀🍇

It's taken a lot to get this far. Behind the scenes it's feeling a little like the end is finally in sight after a whole year of development and obstacles. But really, it's only the beginning. We are still working on all the final details, but we promise it will be worth the wait! ✌❤

🧐 Let’s talk TRANSPARENCY! 🧐

The majority of fashion retailers take the old school approach of keeping their supply base a secret. 🤫The reason is usually that they are either too embarrassed to admit who they are working with, or they are scared that someone else will take their work.
🤷‍♀️ So why is this a problem? Well, consumers are looking more and more for trustworthy sources to buy their sustainable fashion from. If we don’t have proof of who made the fabric, or where it was made, then how can we trust the label? As consumers we deserve more transparency around the products we buy, so that we can make informed choices about who we support.
Say no to greenwashing.

We are hoping to make Evalyn & Asra a B-corp certified company as soon as we become eligible to do so. This means being transparent to our customers and truthful about our supply chain.
🥰We are so proud to be working with VEGEA who make our vegan leather in a way that is non-polluting, without the use of water, and in a way that causes as little harm to the earth as possible. 🥰

Just a post to let everyone know that we are still here, working very hard to bring our exciting range of luxury grape leather accessories into the world 🍇🤗 We have perfected the product, and can’t wait to share it with everyone once we are ready.

It was important for us to find a high-quality vegan leather alternative that was made without the use of harmful pesticides, toxins and solvents that are commonly used in the production of animal leather and other vegan alternatives such as PVC. We landed on wine leather, which uses up the leftover waste from the agroindustry! 🍇

We are proud to say that when we launch, we will be an animal free, cruelty free and vegan company! Wine leather is a fantastic alternative to animal skins, as it behaves just like it but doesn't hurt a soul. Plus- it means we can all drink more wine! 🍷🥳
