Can we normalise missing someone who is exactly where they should be?

My daughter just moved to Denmark. She’s 16.
She’s been helping me in the shop and as a model, and letting me know what’s hot and what’s not.

This weekend she left for efterskole, a Danish school where she’ll spend a kind of gap year, to grow as a human and learn more about Danish culture and community.
I’m proud of her. Very proud.
But I’m also trying to keep calm and mildly spiralling about how she’s doing.
They’re not allowed phones there for the first couple of months, so I can’t call her. Which I think is a brilliant thing.
