World Cup may be over for England, but the collective experience of going to watch a match at your local pub or at home or wherever, and seeing friends or meeting new people and bonding over your shared experience of a match… all serves as a reminder of how football can bring people together in this way.

That was the sentiment that we wanted to convey with our latest short film, made in collaboration with writer-director Charlotte Regan. She’s someone who regularly plays five-a-side ⚽️ and so why not document a filmmaker - a female voice in film - in their natural environment? Someone who brings a football to set so people in her cast and crew from different departments can mix and get to know each other, who may not otherwise get the chance to.

Playing footie is a part of Charlotte Regan’s collaborative process and that’s what we wanted to celebrate in this film - which you can now watch online 🔗 above

As with any creative endeavour, it takes a herd of people to bring it to fruition - so here are all the lovely people who helped make this happen. Thank you ♥️

Ahh, Jo’s infamous monologue from Little Women 💖 as performed here by Polly Graves - last year’s Screen Award winner of the 2025 Spotlight Prize.

The Spotlight Prize has been celebrating exceptional talent for decades, with alumni including Judi Dench and Denise Gough, and so many other incredible performers who’ve gone on to shape stage and screen.

At Girls on Tops, we’re all about celebrating those female voices. Our tees aren’t just something you wear, they’re conversation starters. Whether you’re walking into an audition, a rehearsal room or a meeting, they say something about the artists who inspire you and the stories you want to tell.

Proud to be supporting The Spotlight Prize this year and celebrating all of this year’s finalists - the next generation of emerging talent ✨

Thank you for sharing. Love the tee 😉

Love an old film poster. Wanted to share these as we’ve just been offered 4 tickets to Rio Forever’s screening of Claudia Weill’a GIRLFRIENDS (1978) at Rio Cinema this coming Tuesday - not only has this film not screened there since Rio’s first feminist film season in 1979/80 - but Claudia Weill will also be there IN PERSON on Tuesday for a Q&A after the film, hosted by filmmaker and artist, Lisa Gornick. Your chance to see this landmark feminist indie on the big screen - known to have inspired the likes of Lena Dunham and Greta Gerwig - and witness the cinematic wisdom of writer/director Claudia Weill.

Join us if you can. DM to enter the raffle, first come first served. Successful entries will be notified on Monday morning.
