Keyvan Khosrovani, architect, fashion designer and lighting designer, was one of the influential figures in contemporary Iranian art and design, known for moving effortlessly between architecture, fashion, light and cultural heritage.

From designing the lighting of Persepolis and Hafezieh for the first Shiraz Arts Festival, to creating the official wardrobe of Empress Farah Pahlavi and contributing to the revival of traditional Iranian textiles and crafts, his work remained deeply connected to Iran’s cultural identity.

Beyond architecture and fashion, Khosrovani devoted years to preserving and promoting Iranian craftsmanship. Several of his designs for Empress Farah are now part of the permanent collection of Palais Galliera, the Musée de la Mode de Paris.

Keyvan Khosrovani passed away on September 4, 2026. His vision of bringing together art, culture and design remains an important part of Iran’s modern creative history.

از طراحی نور تخت جمشید و حافظیه در نخستین جشن هنر شیراز، تا طراحی پوشش رسمی شهبانو فرح پهلوی و تلاش برای احیای بافت‌ها و صنایع‌دستی ایرانی، مسیر حرفه‌ای او همواره با هویت و میراث فرهنگی ایران پیوند داشت.

خسروانی در کنار معماری و طراحی، سال‌ها به حفظ و معرفی هنرهای سنتی ایران پرداخت و بخشی از آثار طراحی‌شده برای شهبانو فرح نیز امروز در مجموعه دائمی موزه مُد پاریس، Palais Galliera، نگهداری می‌شود.

Mohammad Hossein Molla-Abdollahi is an Iranian artist and master of Ayeneh-kari who has spent more than two decades transforming light, geometry and traditional mirror work into a contemporary artistic language.

His work stands at the intersection of technology, architecture, heritage and art — where thousands of fragments of mirror become something far greater than their individual pieces.

The art world bids farewell to YAYOI KUSAMA MUSEUM , who passed away in Tokyo on August 14, 2026, at the age of 97.

Across an extraordinary career spanning decades, Kusama transformed her visions of infinity, repetition, obsession and the human experience into a language recognised around the world. Her practice moved beyond painting, encompassing sculpture, installation, performance, writing and poetry.

She continued to create until the final days of her life, remaining devoted to the belief that art has the power to connect, inspire and offer hope.

Her legacy extends far beyond the iconic dots and mirrored worlds that became her signature. Kusama leaves behind an artistic universe that continues to challenge perception, celebrate imagination and invite us to see the world differently.

کوساما در طول دهه‌ها فعالیت هنری، جهان شخصی و نگاه منحصربه‌فرد خود به بی‌نهایت، تکرار، وسواس و تجربه انسانی را به زبانی جهانی تبدیل کرد؛ زبانی که تنها به نقاشی محدود نماند و مجسمه‌سازی، چیدمان، پرفورمنس، ادبیات و شعر را نیز دربر گرفت.

او تا واپسین روزهای زندگی به خلق کردن ادامه داد و همواره به این باور وفادار ماند که هنر می‌تواند انسان‌ها را به یکدیگر نزدیک کند، الهام‌بخش باشد و امید بیافریند.

Based in Rome, the architect, shoe designer and bespoke shoemaker has developed a distinctive approach to footwear, bringing together a refined design sensibility with the enduring traditions of Italian craftsmanship.

Working closely with highly skilled master artisans, Ebrahimi combines generations of artisanal knowledge with her own contemporary language. Every pair is conceived exclusively for its wearer, from the first measurements and the development of a personal last to the final hand-finished details.

Her work has attracted an international clientele, including members of royal families and distinguished clients from around the world, drawn to the intimacy, precision and individuality of truly bespoke footwear.

فراتر از یک بنا؛ جایی که معماری به یک تجربه تبدیل می‌شود.

در Sheats–Goldstein Residence، جان لاتنر #معماری را صرفاً به دیوار، سقف و ساختار محدود نمی‌کند. در نگاه او، بنا یک مجموعه از عناصر جدا از هم نیست؛ بلکه هر جزئی، از هندسه و نور گرفته تا متریال، مبلمان و حتی نحوه‌ی حرکت انسان در فضا، بخشی از یک ایده‌ی واحد است.

لاتنر، معمار آمریکایی و یکی از چهره‌های تأثیرگذار معماری مدرن قرن بیستم، معماری را همچون یک تجربه‌ی کامل می‌دید؛ فضایی که باید با محیط، بدن و زندگی انسان در ارتباط باشد.

در این خانه، حتی مبلمان نیز صرفاً برای پر کردن فضا انتخاب نشده، بلکه در امتداد زبان معماری بنا شکل گرفته است. خطوط، زوایا، بافت‌ها و متریال‌ها با یکدیگر گفت‌وگو می‌کنند تا مرز میان معماری، طراحی داخلی و زندگی کم‌رنگ شود.

شاید همین‌جا باشد که ارزش واقعی معماری آشکار می‌شود:

At the Sheats–Goldstein Residence, John Lautner’s architecture extends far beyond walls, ceilings, and structure. For Lautner, a building was never a collection of separate elements. Every detail, from geometry and light to materials, furniture, and the way people move through the space, was part of a larger architectural idea.

An influential figure in 20th-century American modern architecture, Lautner approached architecture as a complete experience: one that could respond to its environment, the human body, and the way life unfolds within a space.

Maryam Mahdavi, one of the influential figures in the development of post-revolution Iranian fashion, has passed away at the age of 76.

She began her professional practice around 1980, at a time when fashion design in Iran was still finding its new language and direction.

از پیشگامان طراحی لباس در ایران پس از انقلاب

مریم مهدوی، یکی از چهره‌های تأثیرگذار در شکل‌گیری مد معاصر ایران پس از انقلاب، در ۷۶ سالگی درگذشت.

فعالیت حرفه‌ای او از حوالی سال ۱۹۸۰ آغاز شد؛ زمانی که طراحی لباس در ایران هنوز در ابتدای مسیر حرفه‌ای خود قرار داشت.






Across more than four decades, Mahdavi developed a distinctive visual language informed by regional dress, traditional crafts, antique textiles and Iran’s rich sartorial heritage.

Rather than simply reproducing traditional garments, she reinterpreted these elements through a personal and contemporary lens.

ریشه در ایران، نگاهی شخصی

مهدوی در طول بیش از چهار دهه فعالیت، زبان بصری منحصربه‌فردی شکل داد؛ زبانی که از پوشش مناطق مختلف ایران، صنایع‌دستی، پارچه‌های قدیمی و میراث پوشیداری کشور الهام می‌گرفت.

اما او صرفاً لباس‌های سنتی را بازسازی نمی‌کرد. عناصر تاریخی و بومی را انتخاب، ترکیب و بازتعریف می‌کرد تا به فرمی شخصی و معاصر برسد.












Mahdavi’s significance extended beyond her own designs. She worked at a time when a new generation of Iranian designers was searching for an independent identity in contemporary fashion.

Her practice demonstrated that Iran’s cultural and sartorial heritage could be more than a record of the past — it could remain a living source of creativity and a foundation for new design.

اهمیت مریم مهدوی تنها در طراحی‌هایش نبود؛ او در دوره‌ای فعالیت می‌کرد که نسل تازه‌ای از طراحان ایرانی در جست‌وجوی هویتی مستقل برای لباس معاصر بودند.

نگاه او نشان داد که فرهنگ و میراث ایران می‌تواند نه فقط موضوعی برای حفظ گذشته، بلکه منبعی زنده برای خلاقیت و طراحی آینده باشد.

In the history of fashion, some designers create memorable clothes; others go further, challenging and transforming the very rules through which fashion is understood.

کنزو تاکادا؛ طراح جهانی که زبان مد را تغییر داد

در تاریخ مد، بعضی طراحان لباس‌های ماندگار خلق می‌کنند؛ اما بعضی دیگر فراتر از طراحی لباس می‌روند و قواعدی را که مد بر اساس آن تعریف می‌شود، تغییر می‌دهند.






Born in Himeji, Japan, in 1939, Takada moved to France in 1964—a journey that would fundamentally shape his professional life. Paris was not simply the place where he built his career; it was where he transformed his Japanese heritage, cultural experiences, and encounters with the wider world into a new language of fashion.

In 1970, he opened his first boutique in Paris, a space that would become an important part of the emerging movement toward a new approach to Ready-to-Wear.

Yet what distinguished Kenzo from many of his contemporaries was not simply the success of a Japanese designer in the fashion capital of the world.

Kimono, yukata, obi, and Japanese textiles appeared in his designs alongside influences from Russian, Romanian, Chinese, African, and European cultures. Military references, folk costumes, theatre, Kabuki, and Japanese prints also found their way into his visual world.

But Kenzo was not simply placing different cultures side by side.

In 2026, the wardrobe of Italian grandmothers has become an unexpected source of inspiration for a new generation, from floral dresses and linen to headscarves, simple sandals and warm Mediterranean tones.

But this trend is about more than clothing. It reflects a slower way of living, where quality, authenticity and pieces with a story matter.
