Something exciting is coming…

You can’t find much for £1 these days 👀 But here at the Swap Shop we’re passionate about bargains.

For one day only we’ll be selling everything for £1!

We believe that sustainable fashion is for everyone, which is why we’re dedicated to low pricing year round. Customers love our £2, £3 and £4 rails for finding preloved fashion at pocket-money prices, but next month we’ll be doing one better… all rails £1!

Join us at East Point Pavilion on Sat 26 Sept for this one-off event - giving everyone the opportunity to find something they love, at a price they love. 💙

*Our usual trade-in service won’t be available this day, to keep our volunteers from getting overwhelmed. You’ll be able to spend your earned credits at the sale, but only on transactions up to £10 (10 items).

Thanks to everyone who visited our sold out upcycling workshop last week!

Together with Handmade Vintage Style Gifts|Reclaimed Fabrics we turned unwanted textiles into beautiful fabric wreaths. Proving that with a bit of creativity and some basic sewing, one woman’s ‘trash’ can become another woman’s treasure!

Our students had some lovely feedback about the event, and Sallie’s expert teaching skills, and can’t wait to come back for more community crafting!

Our next workshop is next week, Wed 26 August, where we’ll be learning how to create fabric yarn from old t-shirts and create some wearable accessories.

Alongside our weekly swap shop, the pavilion is home to two other small businesses, a local radio station, fully stocked bar and incredible events space! ⭐️

Grandma is up to something again…
She will be at East Point Pavilion on Wednesday 12 August for this little workshop! You will be shown how to make a simple fabric flower and a Suffolk Puff, using recycled fabrics, and shown how to use these to create a rather lovely decorative wreath, to put in your house/summer house/ beach hut…
All materials are provided - and it’s FREE! If you fancy joining in, you will need to book a place ( places are limited, and some have gone already!), which you can do by going to swapshopsuffolk.co.uk or using the QR code below.

Calling all creatives 📣

We’re looking to expand our network of creatives to help us deliver more textile and repair workshops throughout Suffolk & Norfolk.

We are Swap Shop Suffolk, a community interest company dedicated to reducing textile waste and keeping clothing in circulation. ♻️

As part of our promise, we provide free (or subsidised) workshops to communities that teach valuable sewing and repair skills, as well as encouraging people to get creative with upcycled materials.

We’re looking for people to help us deliver that promise! 🫶🏻

Whether you’ve hosted sewing workshops before, or have an idea for a session, we’d love for you to get in touch. This is a paid opportunity, with sessions around Lowestoft, Suffolk & Norfolk.
