Anything Sews is a family run business established in 1992 in Luton, Bedfordshire. Originally run by cousins Lynne and Bernadette, Anything Sews has grown tremendously since then and is now currently one of the most popular tailor businesses in the area. Now employing 6 persons of which 4 are members of the same family, Anything Sews has 4 qualified machinists of which 3 have over 40 years experie
nce each in various aspects of tailoring. Over the years Anything Sews has been approached by and given various contracts from Vauxhall and other local businesses. We currently undertake various alterations for many establishments throughout the Market hall in the Mall as well as shops in the Mall itself. Anything Sews undertakes a wide range of alterations and repairs on many garments including leather and suede. We also carry out alterations on curtains, both lined and unlined. We can also undertake certain customised work to your request. Examples of this includes memory pillows or cushions, face masks, bags, caravan cushion covers, to name a few. If you have a certain request, no matter how bizarre, we will try to accommodate you. During 2019 we broadened our horizons by acquiring a further stall and branching out into the sale of net curtains, various home textiles and Haberdashery. Anything Sews is currently the only company in the area that provide these. We hold stock of a wide range of net curtains, voile panels and ready made curtains however many more are available to order. We recently refurbished our haberdashery area and now have a large wool shop, stocking Robin wool in various colours and varieties including baby, double knit, chunky, super chunky and Aran. We also stock a large range of knitting needles, patterns or anything else for your knitting projects. As well as haberdashery, we sell table cloths, aprons, table runners, bags and hankies. Many of these items have been hand made and unique to us with designs constantly changing. Finally we have a large clothes rail of baby wool cardigans. jumpers, hats, mittens, blankets and bootees. All hand made with stock constantly changing. Anything Sews is also a distributor of McCalls patterns. Many patterns available in stock however with up to date pattern books, patterns are also available to order.
