Z in the attic Zero waste sewing creating reusable fun & colourful products. Home of the Adventure Pants Here we are creating zero waste sewing.

Hi welcome to the home of Adventure Pants- our little slice of bright reusable life. Making colourful, beautifully practical and sustainable products whilst saving fabrics from landfill and waste. We only use remnants, deadstock and roll end fabric , sometimes pieces are too small to make garments so we turn them into something else. Each piece is often individual and always unique. One top. Two looks.

The Crop Top is fully reversible, so every top gives you two ways to wear it. Flip it over and you’ve got a whole new look.

Made from reclaimed fabrics rescued from becoming waste, it’s designed to work hard in your wardrobe and help fabric stay out of landfill.

And because bodies don’t come in five neat little sizes, neither does this.

XS: UK 6–10
S: UK 8–12
M: UK 10–16
L: UK 12–18
XL: UK 14–20

Made from stretchy jersey and designed to accommodate a range of body shapes and bust sizes.

Big b***s.
Small b***s.
No b***s.

All welcome here.

Meet The Crop Top.

I designed this one from scratch because I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted.

A bold square neckline.
Wide straps.
Comfortable enough to wear as a bra.
Stylish enough to wear as a top.

And because I like making fabric work harder, it’s reversible too. Two looks, one garment.

Every Crop Top is handmade from reclaimed fabrics rescued from landfill and transformed into something you’ll reach for again and again.

The result? A versatile wardrobe staple that’s comfortable, practical and genuinely sustainable.

Available now.

The upstairs is finally starting to come together.

I’ve been spending every spare minute painting, shifting furniture and trying to get this space ready. The goal? More room for the workshops you’ve been asking for.

The tricky bit is that it’s just me. While I’m painting walls, the shop still needs running, orders still need packing, products still need making and markets still need preparing for.

Progress is slower than I’d like, but every coat of paint gets us a little closer.

Just a heads up that the shop will be CLOSED today (Tuesday) so I can crack on and get another big chunk finished.

Thank you for bearing with me while I build something bigger and better for Z in the Attic.

£3 tops aren’t cheap.
You’re just not the one paying the full price for them.

Someone pays in underpaid labour.
Someone pays in polluted waterways.
Someone pays in mountains of textile waste.
And eventually, all of us pay for a culture built on disposable clothing.

Meanwhile people look at handmade clothing and say “that’s expensive” (while wearing something designed to fall apart before the season’s over)

Maybe the problem isn’t the price of handmade.
Maybe it’s that we’ve been trained to expect clothing for less than the price of a sandwich.

This workshop was such a joy.

Every single person finished their trousers.

Not only that, everyone left wearing them!

The most repeated sentence of the day was:
“I can’t believe I made these.”

Closely followed by:
“And they actually fit.”

That’s the magic moment.

Not perfection. Not fancy techniques.

Just people realising they’re capable of making clothes they genuinely want to wear.

One student even added pockets, which immediately caused pocket envy across the room.

Honestly? Exactly the kind of sewing energy I want more of.

Next workshop dates coming soon.

Well. This took an unexpected turn.

The winner of the trouser workshop raffle has just messaged me to say they wanted to gift their place to someone else.

Not for content.
Not for attention.
Just because they thought someone might need a bit of time for themselves more than they did.

Honestly, it caught me off guard a bit.

So instead of rerunning the raffle, I’m opening it up quietly.

If you know someone who’s been having a rough time, who never spends time on themselves, or who’s got a sewing machine gathering dust and just needs a way back into making things- send me a message.

Or send this to them.

I’ll choose someone tomorrow evening and sort the details privately.

Sometimes people are just properly kind.

This Saturday!
