We make all our Shoes, Boots and Shandals on foot shaped lasts.
This means they are broad at the toebox to allow your toes to spread into their natural form and narrow at the heels and around the arch to support your foot naturally into the back of the shoe.

These are our two width fittings - subtle to the eye maybe but actually when you try out shoes on you can really tell the difference between the “standard” and “wide” fit:

Some people have a naturally flat foot for example which means they nearly always feel best in our wide fit - some people really like the fitted arch in our standard fit, it’s such a individual fit- no two pairs of feet are the same,
Most people in fact have two different sized feet - have you ever noticed a difference in your left and right?

Badalassi Wax is a pure vegetable tanned leather produced on shoulders. The leather is tanned in a wooden drum using oils and animal fats, through dyed and polished with a roll of amber stone. The wax is added during the tannage process to provide a distinct pull-up effect. The tanning tradition for this article is centuries old. Wax is available for footwear as well as leathergoods.

Produced by Italian tannery Badalassi Carlo. A member of the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana.

Our low rise Boots are designed to be broad at the toe box to allow your toes to move freely around. The arch is fitted so your foot is held firmly into the back of the boot.

We make our Boots to be as close as possible to barefoot - most people say it feels like you are wearing nothing on your feet.

Our Boots have been specially designed to be instantly comfortable as soon as you put them on, but as with all leather they will soften the more you wear them and very soon you will find your footprint embeds into the sole and they become ‘yours’.
