Ed’s here with another delivery of our best selling ... the seriously comfy flip flops that have become a bit of a Golden Boot favourite with our team and our customers 🤩

Supportive, ridiculously easy to wear and once you’ve tried them, you’ll understand exactly why so many of you come back for another pair!

Fresh colours and sizes have just landed in store, but if the last delivery is anything to go by, they won’t hang around for long!!!

Our first ever pop-up at the fabulous Weald of Kent Ploughing Match was back in 2015… and just look how things have grown since then 🤩😳😮

Apart from 2020, we’ve been back every year, packing up The Golden Boot, heading out into a field and creating our little country store for the day.

And we absolutely LOVE it ❤️

We’ve had everything the Kentish weather can throw at us over the years, from glorious sunshine, heatwaves, wind, rain… and last year, a proper mud bath! 😂

Whatever the weather, we’ll be there again this year with plenty of country clothing, coats, boots, footwear and all the essentials for life outdoors.

And this one is extra special…

THE LAYERING SEASON STARTS HERE ... 🍁🤎

Our new Barbour Autumn/Winter collection has started arriving in store and Katie simply couldn’t wait to try it on.

Think wax jackets, cosy knits, gorgeous checks and all those easy layers that make autumn dressing so good.

Not online just yet… keep watching our website for uploads ... so for now, you’ll have to come and see it properly in our gorgeous store as we begin to transition into next season 🍁

A little ray of sunshine is coming to The Golden Boot 🌸🌻

This is the lovely Lucy The Brand Ambassadors pictured with Ed, who travelled all the way from North London yesterday with a car full of the most gorgeous dresses and blouses from New Day Originals by Finula Crowe for us to see for Spring/Summer 😍☀️

I’ve loved this brand for a few years now and have been really keen to introduce it to Ed and bring it to The Golden Boot. The fabulous colours and prints first caught my eye, but what I really love is the thought that goes into the clothes.

Beautiful organic cottons, flattering shapes designed for real women with real figures, proper bra-friendly dresses and those little details that make something feel wonderful when you actually put it on.

And after the huge success of our dresses this summer and all the brilliant feedback you gave us before our recent buying trips, we have listened! ❤️

So yesterday we chose a small, carefully edited collection of New Day Originals dresses and blouses for next Spring/Summer 😍🤩😍

And when I say carefully chosen… I tried every single piece on! 😂

The reaction from our team and even customers who happened to be in store while we were buyingwas amazing and made us even more excited about our choices.

These are dresses you can really wear... dress them up for an occasion with heels and a fabulous hat, add wedges for lunch or holidays, or simply throw them on with flat sandals or flip-flops. Exactly the sort of versatility I love 💖

Lucy herself is an absolute ray of sunshine and positivity, just like the collection! ☀️ And we also love that New Day owner Fin is based just across the water in Essex, so really not too far from us here in Maidstone. ❤️

Together with Lucy and Fin, we’re already talking about a New Day Originals launch event here at The Golden Boot when the collection arrives, with them joining us for some styling advice too.

Now THAT sounds like fun! 🥂🌸

I really hope you ladies love this new addition as much as I do.

Well… this photo was taken after the hard work had been done! 😂

After a full day building our Spring/Summer 2027 collection, this was us at the end of a brilliant (and very long!) buying day 🤩

The smiles came after hours of building our rails, debating every style and building a collection we genuinely believe you’ll love.

One thing that made yesterday even more special was all of you 🥰

The response to my last post asking what you’d like to see more of from Holland Cooper was incredible 😍
So many of your comments stayed with me throughout the day as we built the range and I can honestly say they helped shape the conversations we had.

We’ve only stocked Holland Cooper since 2023, but it’s become such an important brand for us and one that creates so much excitement with both our customers and our team.

It was lovely to spend the day with Georges, who has looked after us since our very first order in 2023, and Kirsten, who has been looking after our account for the last couple of seasons. Thankyou to them for bearing with my dilemma of what NOT to add to the rail 😜🤣

Sadly, I can’t show you what happened inside the buying room!! That's all top secret for now ...

The day didn’t end when we left Cheltenham. We still had the long drive back to Kent, and next week Ed and I will be back at The Golden Boot committing the final quantities for one of the biggest investments we’ll make this season.

We are excited and we hope you’ll love what we’ve chosen… I honestly can’t wait until we’re finally allowed to share it with you all 💖

So… tomorrow I’m off on another “work jolly”… 😜🤣

Or so everyone thinks!

The reality? It’s one of my favourite parts of my role here at The Golden Boot… and probably the part that costs me the most sleep! 😬 So there’ll be no gin tomorrow, just a lot of coffee!!!

Ed and I are heading to Cheltenham to buy our Spring/Summer 2027 collection with Holland Cooper. 💙

It’s a brand I loved and wore long before we stocked it, so helping to shape each new collection for our store really is a privilege.

One thing I’ve learnt over the years is that our customers are constantly teaching us.

I’ve bought pieces I was convinced would be bestsellers, only to see them end up in the sale 🥲

Then there have been the surprise successes that sold out far too quickly and left me wishing I’d ordered more!

That’s the joy (and the pressure!) of independent buying. Every season teaches us a little more about what you love to wear and what makes you feel your best.

So tomorrow I’ll be taking all those lessons with me as we choose next year’s collection.

Now I really need your help 🙏

A very Golden Boot family wedding ❤️

One of the lovely things about being an independent family business is that the clothes and shoes we recommend are the very ones we choose to wear ourselves.

This week, Ed and his family celebrated a wonderful wedding in beautiful Lake Como 🇮🇹

Ed was dressed head to toe from The Golden Boot 🤩

Ki carried her favourite Hispanitas bag with Tamaris sandals, while Lilly and Izzy looked gorgeous in Toni Pons and Tamaris.
