You’ve probably seen the words **OEKO-TEX®** on baby bedding… but do you actually know what they mean? 👀

It’s one of those labels that sounds reassuring — but knowing *what it actually covers* matters.

**OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100** tests the finished textile against strict limit values for hundreds of potentially harmful substances — including things such as formaldehyde, heavy metals, pesticide residues and allergenic dyes.

And importantly, it’s the **finished product** that is tested — not simply the raw cotton.

There’s also something many parents don’t realise: **OEKO-TEX® has different certifications**, and they don’t all mean the same thing.

So when you’re choosing bedding, blankets or other textiles that sit against your little one’s skin, look specifically for **OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100**.

Because when it comes to what touches our babies every day, I think we deserve to know exactly what those labels mean. 🤎

I wish someone had handed me this when I was pregnant with my first. 🤍

Back then I bought what looked cute and fit the budget, and I never thought to flip over the label. No judgement if that's where you are right now. It's exactly where I was.

Wrinkle-free. Colour-fast. Soft to the touch. They sound like selling points, but they can come from finishing treatments that never get a mention on the swing tag.

The easiest shortcut I know is looking for the OEKO-TEX logo and checking it's genuine. 🤍

Summer holidays. ☀️

The bit nobody really talks about…

The juggling of childcare around work.
The endless packing. Then unpacking. Then packing again.
The day-care bags that somehow need restocking every five minutes.
The holidays we’ve spent months organising — only to come home wondering whether we actually feel more rested. 😂
And the days where there is no plan whatsoever and we’re simply taking it one snack, one argument and one cup of coffee at a time.

And somehow, through all of it, we’re still expected to make memories, keep everyone happy and hold the whole bloody show together.

Ladies… you’re doing GREAT. ❤️

You don’t have to have the perfect summer.
You don’t have to be the mum who has every day planned.
You don’t have to come back from holiday feeling rejuvenated and glowing.

Sometimes getting everyone fed, dressed and out of the house IS the achievement.
