It's been a while since l have made our own dogs Poppy & Lilly a new fleece.

We are visiting Scone Palace, Perth tomorrow, Paws at the Palace dog event. So it's only fitting they both had a tartan theme fleece 😬 (Fingers crossed the weather is a bit dreary to justify putting them on) 🌦

I sometimes get asked if l can modify my fleeces to accommodate a dog that may have an issue with a limb (amputation) or due to age, arthritis. And yes, in most cases l can.

So, for the dog with the Autumn Spice pattern, she gets a bit of pain in her back legs so l added a velcro strip at the back of each back leg so they just wrap around the leg and no lifting up the leg is needed.

Bruce in his new puppy fleece, don't think he is fully impressed with it yet 😬

With a big house move in June (England to Scotland) and it being the summer months, it's been quiet on the sewing side.

However, I have found a new use for my summer suits in the form of an anti-tick suit 😬

Lilly has been hiking up the Scottish Munros with my husband Reece, with 2 to 3 ticks hitching a ride home 🪳 each time!

They did their 3rd & 4th Munro last week, over 3 hours walking with no ticks after I made her a new summer suit to use. That's a winner for me.
