Top 3 Best Collections at Lagos Fashion Week 2025

Lagos Fashion Week 2025 was a celebration of craftsmanship, culture, and cutting-edge design. Among the many standout shows, three collections rose above the rest — each distinct, intentional, and undeniably powerful.

1. Sevon Dejana

Sevon Dejana delivered pure excellence this season — a masterclass in brand consistency and vision. The collection perfectly embodied the brand’s ethos, DNA, and aesthetic identity, weaving together sculptural silhouettes, precision tailoring, and a refined play on femininity and structure. Every look felt cohesive, intentional, and elevated. A designer in full control of their creative language. 10’s across the board, we have no choice but to stan.

2. Elexiay

Elexiay’s runway was a soft, romantic dreamscape. With pastel tones, airy crochet textures, and fluid silhouettes, the collection radiated sweet summer energy and artisanal craftsmanship. Rooted in sustainability and handwoven tradition, Elexiay reminded everyone that simplicity can be powerful when done with care. A beautiful balance of youth, ease, and timeless femininity.

3. AMA Paris

AMA Paris brought heat and harmony to the runway with a collection that was nothing short of breathtaking. The desert-inspired palette, slouchy cuts, and luxurious draping created a mood that was effortlessly chic yet grounded. The interplay of earthy tones, minimal structure, and relaxed tailoring delivered a modern, wearable luxury, this collection was insane.

Lagos Fashion Week 2025 proved once again that African fashion is not just evolving, it’s leading.

Central Cee takes the street global
African style inspires the moment.

At ComplexCon 2025, Central Cee showed the power of culture with his collabs with Nike, BAPE, and G-Shock a reminder that streetwear is now a global language.
The bold red Air Force 1 stands tall, echoing the energy you’d see from Lagos to London, raw, expressive, and unfiltered.

Loewe’s latest knitwear drop puts the spotlight on the hand-sewn logo, not just printed, not just stitched, but crafted with intentionality and texture.

This season, Loewe brings its heritage into the room: the iconic Anagram logo or wordmark re-imagined in raised appliqué, mohair, wool blends and visible hand-finish.
Why it matters for Africa: Where luxury often talks about the label, this knit speaks about presence. From Lagos foyers to Cape Town rooftops, expressive craft, elevated textures and authenticity are becoming code for modern African luxury. Loewe’s hand-sewn detail connects with that: visible craft, tactile identity, and personal style that doesn’t shout, it resonates.

The new knits are more than wardrobe staples. They are cultural statements: bold logo, quiet power, unmistakable finish.

John Malkovich for JW Anderson (2025)

Age? Irrelevant. Presence? Unmatched.
JW Anderson taps John Malkovich for its 2025 campaign, a move that blurs the line between art, performance, and style.
Photographed in cinematic frames, Malkovich becomes the muse and the mood expressive, unpredictable, and endlessly captivating.

This is what modern fashion storytelling looks like where intellect meets image.
It’s the same spirit we see rising in African fashion today bold personalities, timeless storytelling, and a refusal to fit any box.

JW Anderson reminds us that fashion isn’t about age or fame, it’s about character.
