We are joining to run another open mic! 🎤 Bring your thinking caps people. I want your take on this! 🧠🧐

Our Topic - How can we make more second had more mainstream?

About the event
In readiness for this event, we’ll be picking out all things retro, collectable and eclectic. Our Emporium will feature cherry-picked pre-loved clothing, collectable treasures and all things weird and wonderful! You’ll find freshly stocked vinyl records, cassettes, CDs, books and comics. Expect to find a wide variety of media on offer and plenty of bargains to be found, with the majority of our 7-inch vinyl, books, CDs and cassettes priced at £1.

The Emmaus After Shift Thrift will take place on Thursday 7 May, 6:30pm – 8:30pm, at the Emmaus Mossley Secondhand Superstore, Longlands Mill, Queen Street, Mossley, OL5 9AH.

Brilliant few hours spent last week with designers, brand owners, charities, makers, and micro-factories at the in

We explored the role robotics could play in the future of fashion, asking critical questions around its implications, ethics, and how it must align with the transition to a circular economy.

Some clear themes emerged which we are happy to share 🧠

• Robotics must respond to real industry needs, delivering practical value to designers and manufacturers.

• Shared access models, through hubs, memberships, or service providers, will be essential for SME adoption.

• Strong potential to support circular activities such as repair, remanufacturing, sorting, and disassembly.

• Robotics should enhance human skill and creativity by removing repetitive tasks, not replacing people.

• Skills, training, and accessibility will be critical to building confidence and engagement.

• Collaboration across industry will be key to refining use cases and accelerating adoption.

• Robotics could play a major role in enabling regional manufacturing and circular infrastructure in Greater Manchester.

What a year.

It’s only looking back at my library that im seeing how much we accomplished. At times chasing loose ends, and others achieving proud milestones. 🥹

It’s good to look back at the progress you made, feel good about it in the present, and plan how you’ll kick ass in the future 😎

Niamh and I want to thank all those that have supported us this year. (Most will know who you are because I’ve tagged you 😂) you are the reason we push FFF and evolve it to what Communities and the industry needs.

A massive congrats to the fabulous .fashion and .mcr for the launch of their stoma bag collection and charity scheme ‘Covers that Care’🥳

The energy in the room was infectious, bold and truly inspiring💞 Well done to all of the fabulous models (who have never modelled before!), the wonderful artists involved and everyone who helped make the night a success.

Running events isn’t easy but you all smashed it!💫💫💫

So many of you braved the November chills for our Open mic discussion with . Certainly brought your voices too! 🧠🤘🏻

We covered some great points on supporting good business practise, supporting business in circular transition (and not, depending on their values!) as well as making sure this is accessible for all levels of financial income.

🎤 Open Mic w/ Nudie!

Future Fashion Fair CIC x Nudie Jeans: Does Doing Good Justify Doing More?

We’re hosting an Open Mic Discussion in collaboration with Nudie Jeans, an open dialogue and community exchange on responsible business and product longevity.

This session invites our community, friends, and partners to challenge how we think about the fashion industry, exploring how we can shape a more responsible and sustainable future for both society and business.

This isn’t a panel. It’s your voice!

Together, we’ll explore questions like:
👖 If a brand makes clothes to last forever, should it still feed our appetite for newness?
🌍 Can a company keep selling and still make a positive impact?
💭 Is our consumption of “newness” the elephant in the room, or an inevitable challenge to balance?

All attendees are welcome to contribute to open discussion, whether you’re ready to take the floor and share your perspective or prefer to listen, learn, and discuss with others before and after we start. It’s an open, informal space for constructive dialogue and real talk.
