🎒 School uniform? ✔️ New shoes? ✔️ Eyes checked? 👀
With the new school year nearly here, there’s one important thing that can easily get forgotten in the back-to-school rush… their eyesight! 👓📚
Children don’t always realise when their vision has changed, and being able to see clearly can make such a difference in the classroom, whether they’re reading, using screens or trying to see the board.
👀 A little reminder for parents:
✅ NHS sight tests are FREE for children under 16, and under 19 if they’re in full-time education.
✅ Regular eye examinations can help spot problems such as squints and lazy eye as early as possible.
✅ Headaches, sitting very close to screens, losing concentration or struggling with schoolwork can sometimes be signs that their eyesight needs checking.
So amongst the uniforms, pencil cases and new school shoes, pop an eye test on the back-to-school checklist too. 🍎✏️👓
