Cluster feeding 🤍

One of the most talked about… and least understood parts of breastfeeding.

It’s not just “feeding more.”
It can feel constant.
Back to back.
Sometimes for hours… sometimes for days.

And in those moments, it’s easy to question everything your supply, your body, if you’re doing it right.

But cluster feeding is your baby’s way of:
• building your milk supply
• supporting growth spurts
• finding comfort and closeness

It’s intense, it’s tiring… but it’s also normal.

Every baby is different,
and every journey looks different too.

If you’re in it right now you’re not doing anything wrong 💕

Hiiii🧚‍♀️ We’re Clean Ounces…

and honestly… we started from the same place as you.
tired. overwhelmed. trying to make pumping work.

because somewhere along the way,
we were told this is just how it is…
the discomfort, the guessing, the “you’ll get used to it.”

but we kept thinking… what if it didn’t have to feel like that?

what if pumping worked with your body,
not against it?

so we created something different.
a pump that moves away from hard plastic…
and closer to what your body already understands.

just something designed with you in mind 🤍

Somewhere along the way… we forgot how babies actually feed.🤱

We forgot what really happens in a latch.
What moves. What matters. What actually removes milk.

Because here’s the truth
Milk doesn’t move from suction alone.

It moves through compression.
Through rhythm.
Through the tongue pressing into the ar**la.

That’s how a baby feeds.
Not by pulling… but by working with the breast.

So it makes you wonder ..
Why are most pumps designed around suction strength, vacuum levels, and rigid plastic?

Why are we pulling… instead of compressing?

As a female-founded brand, built by a pumping mum,
Clean Ounces was created to answer one simple but overlooked question:

What if pumps worked with the body… instead of against it?

Because feeding was never meant to feel mechanical.
It was meant to feel intuitive. 🤍

Why we can’t stop talking about silicone 🤍🤌

Because once you understand it… it just makes sense.

Most breast pump fl**ges are made from hard plastic.
They’re fixed, rigid, and don’t really change.

But breasts do.

They soften, swell, fill with milk, and shift shape
sometimes even within minutes.

So when a rigid material meets a constantly changing body,
it can feel… off.

That’s where silicone feels different.

It can flex, adapt, and move with the breast, instead of holding it in one fixed position.

And here’s the part most people don’t realise:

Milk doesn’t just respond to suction.
It responds to comfort, movement, and gentle pressure.

So when something feels softer and more natural on the body,
everything else can start to feel easier too.

It’s such a small detail.
But once you see it… you can’t unsee it 🤍

What if pumping felt natural? 🤱

Not natural like a baby latch nothing replaces that👌..
But natural as in closer to the way milk is actually removed from the breast.

Through compression.

Babies don’t vacuum the ni**le.
They compress the ar**la with rhythm and movement.

Most pumps, however, rely on vacuum and rigid plastic, pulling the ni**le into a fixed shape.

And while inserts try to solve the problem, mothers know something important:

Our bodies change constantly.
Breasts swell, soften, fill with milk, and even change shape during a single feed.

So maybe the question isn’t about finding the perfect size.

Maybe the real question is:

What if pumps adapted to our bodies the same way our bodies adapt to motherhood?

Because pumping should feel gentle, intuitive, and supportive 🤍.

Plastic vs Silicone 🤱 let’s talk about it..

Around 90% of breast pump fl**ges on the market are made from hard plastic. Yes… plastic.

It’s been the standard material for decades.
Not necessarily because it’s best for mothers but because it’s easy to manufacture and keeps pump designs simple.

But when you’re pumping on sensitive postpartum breast tissue, material matters more than we realise.

Plastic can feel:

• Rigid
• Hard against delicate skin
• Less adaptable to changing breast shapes
• Prone to friction during suction
• Fixed in size and form

And mothers are often told to “solve” the discomfort by buying more inserts, more sizes, more adjustments.

But as every mother knows…
our bodies don’t stay the same.

Breasts change with milk fullness, swelling, hormones, let-down, feeding patterns, and even throughout a single pumping session.

Because postpartum bodies are dynamic, responsive, and constantly evolving.

So we asked a different question:

✨What if the fl**ge adapted to the mother instead of the mother adapting to the fl**ge?

That’s where silicone changes things.

Silicone can be:

• Soft against sensitive skin
• Flexible and adaptive
• Comfortable for longer sessions
• Supportive of natural breast movement
• Gentle on the ar**la and ni**le

Instead of forcing your breast into a rigid shape, silicone can move with your body.

And when pumping feels more comfortable, many mothers find milk begins to flow more easily too.

Because motherhood already asks so much of your body.

Your pump should work with it not against it.

Sometimes the biggest difference isn’t your pump strength.
It isn’t the pump size.
It isn’t whether it’s wearable or plugged in.
It isn’t the brand.
And it isn’t owning endless fl**ge inserts.

Sometimes the real difference is something much simpler.

The material touching your body.

Soft silicone can move and adapt with the breast, allowing gentle compression instead of rigid pulling. And when pumping works with your body — milk often flows more easily.

Sometimes the smallest design change makes the biggest difference 🤍
