Middleton Fringe Festival is a new, Middletonian-led festival of performing arts, created by local people, with local people, for the town.
It’s completely free to attend and brings together artists, performers, community groups and local independent businesses across Middleton.
Running from Monday 15th June to Sunday 21st June, the festival will see pubs, venues, outdoor spaces and public areas come alive with music, comedy, theatre, poetry, walkabout performances, workshops and family-friendly activity.
There will be activity across the week, with most of the programme building towards Saturday 20th June - the main festival day, when Middleton will be lit up with performances across Middleton Gardens, Jubilee Park, local pubs, independent venues and community spaces.
This is about showing what Middleton can do when the town backs itself - free, open, creative, local and full of life.
Middleton Fringe Festival is a brand new, free festival of performing arts taking place across Middleton from Monday 15th June to Sunday 21st June 2026.
Led by Middleton people and shaped with local artists, venues, businesses and community groups, the festival will bring high-quality acts and creative activity into the heart of the town.
Expect live music, comedy, theatre, poetry, street performance, interactive art, workshops, family activity and pop-up performances across Middleton Gardens, Jubilee Park, local pubs, independent businesses and community spaces.
The festival is proudly partnering with local independent businesses, helping bring footfall, energy and colour into the town centre and showing what Middleton has to offer.
There will be activity throughout the week, with most of the programme taking place on Saturday 20th June, when the town will be full of performances and activity throughout the day and into the evening.
Everything is free to attend.
