Its not easy what I do don’t get it twisted I'm lukcy to do what I don and dont take it for granted.Im not saving lives or risking my life well sometimes depending on the shoot 😂, so I have to put it in to perspective. This pic is a perfect example of years of showing up, getting involved and never giving up. I was offered a opportunity due to being committed to the cause and having the mutual respect of my peers, which for me is crucial in any job but especially a creative with a vision. I try to be open and honest when posting as I want too look back and know I have encouraged the next generation and said it how it really is which the podcast is helping me do capturing conversations and moments to reflect on this ride. Its not for everyone and at times I have felt like giving up but then realised l cant its what I live for. You will always have doubts but deep down I have a unwavering belief in myself, which is difficult when your being judged and rejected on a daily basis. I’m not asking for sympathy I chose this path and all that comes with it the late nights, long hours missing out on time with fam and friends, the constant pressure to get the next job, one thing that hasn’t changed since I started is my love to constantly challenge myself and push the boundaries. I'm fortunate to have realised this is what makes me happy. Helping people tell their story, taking an idea however far fetched or crazy and making it a reality. People helping people is what makes the world go round. Sending everyone love and positive vibes and to all my fellow creatives keep going and always remember.

It's not just one day its 365, 24/7 Mental health is real and we need to use our voices and resources to create a safe space to support and help each other. I'm sure everyone has had issues or experiences that have left us anxious and over thinking scenarios. I used too really struggle until one day it clicked in my head, it's ok not to be ok. I needed to talk and Express my thoughts and feelings which I was suppressing. I would then take it out on other people. Taking responsibility for myself was a huge step forward, opening up, talking. Some days are still a struggle it's not perfect but life isn't. I'm fortunate to have friends and family who have shown me love, support but also listened which is huge. MY top tips to help combat feeling not at your best is.

1 Put on a song/ podcast that makes you smile, happy and you want to move too.

2 Exercise is key cant stress enough how raising your heart rate can release endorphins that will make you feel better.

3 Fresh air getting out of that environment and putting yourself In a new place and head space.

4 Positive self talk, change your perspective read quotes, books interviews. The most successful people have had setbacks, we all do we are all human.

5 "Harsh reality is better then false hope" Julian Fellowes This quote really resonates with me. Similar to tough love sometimes we all need too hear it.Even when we are going through bad situations. We have to take responsibility for ourselves once we do and I'm not saying its easy to a day to day battle, once you understand that and set out positive routines and parts of your day that will help you for me it's my morning routine meditation, stretching and taking time for myself physically and mentally. Being grateful for what and who are I have in my life.

To anyone who is struggling, it wont last forever. Listen to my podcast I can hear a difference from ep1 to ep 13 and it's because I have put myself out of my comfort zone and worked on myself. I'm a working progress and everyday I'm trying to better myself I hope to inspire others to talk and seek help it is out there but you have to want to help yourself first @ Manchester Museum

I'm so busy trying to create new work and book the next job. I forget to give myself credit and realise I have gone from a novice to becoming a professional Actor and Model. I wouldn't of dreamt of putting a post up like this a year ago, i would of been so worried about people thinking I was a big head or show off. I'm comfortable and confident to share my story now, the podcast has helped but the graft over the years, early starts, late nights, missing out on events with friends and family. I have sacrificed a lot to get where I am and I am no where near satisfied. On reflection I learnt so much on this shoot how it takes hours to get that one shot but when you do its timeless and all worth it. I'm proud of this work and hope to help others like Ian helped me, by putting me at ease and giving me the confidence. I felt so out of my depth at times on that set and still do but now I use some basic grounding tools that give me perspective. Who new one day I would be in Italian Vogue and modelled for up and coming and huge brands. If your struggling today take a breathe and remember its a marathon not a sprint, anything great takes time. We are all a working progress, keep the faith and your time will come. If you aren’t getting any work create your own collaborate, learn, grown and evolve. I'm so excited for the future but for now I'm gonna be happy in the present by looking back at the kid in this picture who didnt have a scooby doo , and hasn’t done too bad. Long way to go though. This is my dream to create everyday big Love, to anyone chasing theirs nothing but love and respect I wish you all healthy and happiness JJ

"Photography is a love affair with life." Burk Uzzle

Will never forget this day, me and 📸 took this together and it was the start of something special and we haven't looked back since. I always wanted to get this shot over the years, but never did, sometimes it's all about timing. It's by the entrance of Central Library in Manchester one of my favourite places in the City. Nearly broke my ankle climbing up and down but I knew it was worth it, looking at this image now gives me so much joy. We walked around town for an hour in between jobs, we both realised it was so much fun and we should make this a priority to do this everyday. It's hard when your creative you have all these ideas which you want to do and feel like there isn't another hours in the day. Over the years I have learnt what works for me is; get a pen and paper (oldskool) right them down and start ticking them off, set yourself a deadline . Hopefully this is some Wednesday wisdom for someone, a budding creative I hope. Just want to thank everyone for the love and support, i have received some lovely messages about the podcast and it's really put a smile on my face and made me realise that I need to keep going. Right better get back to my list as I have lots to tick off but sending you all love and positive vibes. We did this shoot for check them out proud to rep them we have the same work ethic which is crucial in this game 📸🎥🎙💙🐝😁

So proud of Seb and his boys representing Sydney against a superb youth side. Was a pleasure to watch and see the next generation play at such a high standard. Lovely catching up with my Dad and Jason and just be in awe at the levels shown by both sides.I have been fortunate to shoot in that amazing facility before. So was lovely just being a fan and cheering on my Cuz and seeing the young men and women train alongside each other. All the best to the boys who play in Sheffield tomorrow and safe travels home lads
