i’m reading (lol first time properly in years!!) “This Is Marketing” & it has put into words something I think I’ve always tried to keep in mind with Liba…you don’t need everyone to get it. you just need the right people to realllyyy really get it.
i’ve always made what I genuinely think is cool, even when it’s different, and I think that’s become one of the key things about Liba. the people who get it, GET it.
finding a piece before everyone else. getting asked where it’s from. styling it completely differently to someone else. owning an old Liba piece that you can’t get anymore. feeling like you’re part of something that’s still growing.
the book talks a lot about social capital and creating for the smallest viable audience, not trying to please everyone, but making something that means more to the people it is for.
& that’s exactly what I want to lean into even more.
more community, more personality, more trusting my own taste, more making Liba feel like its own little world.
you don’t have to chase what’s cool when you’re confident enough to create your own version of it.
everything you do is cool because you did it. 🤍
