First National Radio Appearance! 🎙️📻🤩✅ Thank you BBC Radio 4 for the lovely welcome.

It was fantastic to be able to shine a light on the difference between functional “glasses” and transformational “eyewear”. 🤩

The “You and Yours” program focuses on consumer affairs, with today’s feature on people’s changing perception around eyewear.

More and more people are seeing it as a fashion item, beyond a functional tool.

With more high street presence, exciting eyewear brands and experts like myself being saught after as people look to level up their look.

We discussed the impact of COVID on attire, the impact a lens has on transforming a piece of eyewear and the latest fashion trends we’re seeing in the marketplace.

TIP 1 - Find out your range of your most flattering colours through a structured colour analysis 🌈

TIP 2 - Seek expert advice on frame shape. (Virtual try ons are pretty awful and also do not take into account your personality) 🤓

TIP 3 - Do not neglect your lens choice. Eyewear is the combination of the frame and the lens. Don’t choose a great frame and forget to choose lenses that complement it, you can end up with some disasters this way! ❌

I’m working on improving my self talk..

I’m always trying to do so much, all at once, and am super ambitious and put so much pressure on myself, that sometimes it just gets overwhelming and feels too much, and that I’m not enough.

Like I’m never as far ahead as I want to be.

Putting this here to remind myself the way we talk to ourselves matters.

Sometimes just one negative comment can take you down for the day when you have bad RSD.

But also sometimes one positive comment can lift you up.

Letting this be the positive comment to myself 💖

Congratulations to on winning the Ch*****ne 🍾🥂 at this week’s meeting event ❤️🏆

There were so many inspiring women there on the day, Sue and included! 💖

I feel so privileged and honoured to be one of the first ever finalists for Male Ally of the Year! 🏆🥹

And to be surrounded by such incredible people. This really was such wholesome, heartwarming event.

What have achieved in the last 12 years is nothing short of immense! 👏🤩

Happy to have made one more person’s day a little better after winning this prize after Sue won the “Guess the price of the frames” competition! 🏆😎

People often struggle with How to Judge Value for Money with eyewear, and that’s what the competition was all about. Helping people to know what questions to ask to understand how to judge value for money at any price point.

As well as showing people what’s possible with eyewear of course! 🤩

Sue will be updating her custom made eyewear with new lenses very soon. For the photo we went with vibrant red and for Sammy we went with a stunning cured acetate sunglass! 😎❤️

I can’t believe it!

On Monday 8th June we have the first ever masterclass for The Eyewear Styling Society. 🗓️🤩

Little did we know how huge it would become!! ❤️🥹

It’s taken many years to get to the stage where we could create something so big, so international, so far reaching that we truly believe we could change the world with this! 🥰

The world needs to know the amazing things independent opticians are doing.

The world needs to know the incredible value and blood sweat and tears that goes into making independent eyewear as special as it is.

The world needs to know.

And the time is now to show it.

To finally come together, worldwide 🌏, and unite to share our mission with positivity and companionship.

Not negativity.

Not angst.

Love beats hate any day of the week.

And the mission, the movement.. it starts Monday. 7PM. UK Time.
