This is our latest creation and what a beauty it turned out to be. When we got the order the instructions were clear. The apron had to have a double fringe and unlike English aprons, the fringe had to be 2.5 inches. Understanding what was meant by a double fringe took some emails and sharing of pictures but we got there in the end.

We also decided to make the embroidery on the apron and collar special by using a finer gold thread to give a much better definition. You can see this in particular on the Junior Wardens plumb rule where we have embroidered the column of his office and a small smiling sun at the top πŸ™‚

If you want an apron that is different, contact us and let us talk through how we can make your apron unique and special.

Our reputation is built on quality and the 'uniqueness' of our regalia and other products. We aim for the 'wow' factor at a price that reflects the quality but is affordable.

This is our latest offering for those of you who are Provincial or District officers and have an undress apron. Try replacing those cloth levels with these metal and enamelled ones. But notice that in the background there is a Corinthian, Ionic or Doric column.

It is pretty difficult to photograph these but the background column is subtle and can be seen reflecting through when up close

If you want to buy a set or haven't got an undress apron to put them on, then contact us for a price.

It is always difficult to choose something special that we produce to show off the quality of the regalia of our regalia. Every item we produce is special to us and we try to make it unique. So in every commission we try to add something that makes our client go 'wow, I love that detail'. Here is a Grand Master's apron we produced and I particularly love the additional detail of the pomegranate seeds. Who would have thought of adding that sort of detail? Yes you got it - Hughes & Carter.

Talk to us about your project so we can make it unique and give it the 'wow' factor.

At Hughes & Carter we love to create unique and quality pieces that make both you and the regalia stand out from the crowd. Here is how we made the simple Royal Order of Scotland baldricks or cordons stand out.

Each cordon has a Royal Order of Scotland button in the centre of the rosette and the jewels are hallmarked silver.

We also noticed that the jewels bought by many brethren were cheap, almost plastic, and broke easily so we also produced them in heavy duty brass gilt so you will have a jewel to last.

If you are interested in replacing your cordons and jewels contact us for prices.

And we do ties. For a company that prides ourselves on our quality and being different the challenge was how do we make a tie different? Well as it turns out, it was simple. We ' 'personalised' the tie. In this case with the Chapter's name and logo on the label on the reverse. And oh ...... before you ask, we definitely don't do polyester ties. Only best quality silk.

We are delighted to show you our latest product. A 33rd degree sash for the Ancient and Accepted Rite of England and Wales. For those of you in the know you can see that our sash is different from those that you usually see at Rose Croix events.

1. It is made to measure to fit the height of the person.

2. We use the very best materials to ensure that the sash lasts the test of time including heavy gold wire tassels and

3. You can see that our bows are blood red not the ghastly red/pink that you see on all the 33rd degree sashes in England.

Where this pink colour came from, no one can tell me - not even Supreme Council. So we at Hughes & Carter decided to go back to basics and 'redesign' the sash and we based it on a sash that no one could say was wrong - the sash belonging to the Prince of Wales who later became His Majesty King Edward VIII.

We have now adopted this as the Hughes & Carter 'trademark'.

See the lapel pins we produced for the Grand Lodge of Texas. They are being distributed tomorrow at the annual Grand Lodge meeting. This was quite a complicated design and we were given just a few weeks to turn the order around. Thanks to everyone who made it possible. If you look closely you can see the letter G in the centre. It is about the size of a pin head.

Welcome to the page for Hughes & Carter. Here you can see the projects that we have done and, most importantly, the quality and uniqueness of our work. With offices in the USA and UK we are uniquely positioned to provide unique and quality regalia to the US, the UK, Europe and the world.

We believe the Masonic apron is more than a badge of membership β€” it is the Badge of a Mason: a direct reflection of one’s values, honour, and lifelong commitment to the Craft.

This belief drives everything we do.

That is why we use only whole, naturally tanned lambskin hides sourced from trusted suppliers. It is why we cut every apron by hand, using traditional methods. And it is why we work closely with each Brother or Lodge to create something that is not only beautiful, but deeply meaningful.
Our ethos is simple: ritual deserves reverence.

At Hughes & Carter, we do not merely craft aprons. We create heirlooms β€” enduring symbols of Masonic devotion, worn with pride and passed down through generations.

Visit our website for more information and to start your journey into Masonic excellence.

Hughes & Carter is the highest quality made to measure clothier around today. We'll help you look dapper and save a lot of money.
