We absolutely LOVE AI. It can be a brilliant tool for inspiration for food recipes holiday ideas and more…
But when it comes to bridal... trust your gut more than AI.
Over the last few weeks we’ve seen more and more AI-generated images of brides wearing gowns with alterations they are considering. Whilst they can look beautiful, they are rarely an accurate representation of how a dress will actually look in real life.
Why? Because AI doesn’t understand the structure of a wedding gown. It doesn’t understand boning, support, weight distribution, construction, fabrics, or how altering one element can completely change the way a dress fits and moves.
Removing straps, adding sleeves, changing necklines, creating illusion backs, adding splits... all of these alterations affect the engineering of a gown, not just the appearance.
That’s why your bridal consultant and seamstress are worth their weight in gold. They understand what is possible, what will work beautifully, and what could potentially compromise the fit and integrity of your dress.
So use AI for inspiration. Dream, play and explore ideas.
But before making any decisions, have the conversation with the professionals who work with wedding gowns every single day.
Sometimes the best guidance isn’t artificial intelligence... it’s real experience. 🤍
