What does self-care look like to you? ❤️

Some people go to a spa, book a facial, buy a new pair of shoes or invest in a holiday. But self-care can sometimes be buying a new pair of glasses too. 👓

A stylish new pair of specs can do wonders when it comes to boosting your confidence and your mood. It’s one of the things we love most about our job; seeing the difference the right frames can make to our patients, both in terms of how they feel and how well they see.

A thorough eye examination is also a form of self-care. Our eyes are so very precious, and taking care of them should always be a priority.

If you’re experiencing issues with your vision, or suffering from tired eyes or headaches, you might just need your prescription updating.

A comprehensive eye exam (sight test + OCT) can also detect conditions like glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration. As well as underlying health issues, such as diabetes, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.

So take this as a reminder… eye care equals self-care. 🫶🏻

Which leaves just one question: are regular eye tests part of your self-care routine?

Since Deepak joined Respectacle Company, we were quite surprised to discover he's a keen golfer. Although we won't hold that against him! 🤣

Last month, he headed to Warwickshire to take part in the annual Fight for Sight Charity Golf Day. Now into its 31st year, the event is an opportunity for optics professionals to enjoy a round of golf, network, and raise money for very worthy causes.

This year's event raised £10,000, which was shared between Fight for Sight and England and Wales Blind Golf. In total, the Fight for Sight Golf Day, spearheaded by Debbie White, has raised a whopping half a million pounds.

Unfortunately, Deepak's performance wasn’t nearly as impressive as his eyewear - an Orgreen frame called Megahertz from the Quantum High series, which he paired with Seiko Brilliance lenses in a graduated blue tint.

Speaking of Orgreen... don't forget, we're hosting a Trunk Show on the 4th of September. We'll be showcasing the new Quantum High series, including the very frame worn here by Deepak.

It’s hard to believe we’re almost at the end of August. Hasn’t this year flown by? If only we had £1 for every time we said that, we’d be very rich 🤑 🤣

Anyhow, the reason for this post is to give you a heads up about a change to our opening hours this weekend.

In light of the bank holiday on Monday 31 August, the practice will be closed on Saturday 29 August. We apologise for any inconvenience, and we thank you for your understanding.

We’ll be open this week - Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We’d love to see you!

Would you wear this frame? 👓 👀

Our client, Mrs A is delighted with her new glasses.

She went for a theo eyewear model called Couple from the Partnership family. It's a beautiful metal-acetate panto shape frame that complements her face perfectly.

The lens option is every bit as impressive - a Seiko Vision UK Prime Xceed Sensity lenses with SRC Ultra. We're thrilled to say Mrs A was very happy with her new look.
