This was a recent piece for a mother of the groom which incorporated the belt detail from her dress. 💛

I deconstructed the belt and made it into a statement bow detail with the jewelled buckle centre and made a ch*****ne gold edged base and added a gold spine detail and ch*****ne feathers to tie it all together.

Some occasion dresses come with ‘the matching hat’, but can be too samey sometimes and it’s nice to do your own thing!

I love any extra beads or buttons etc to add to the headpiece, or can source similar beads / crystals to add that matching finishing touch!

I’m currently still on holiday! 🇪🇸 🔥 🆘

I have replied to all business & txt messages, but have some outstanding voicemails I can’t access as I don’t have a mailbox pin & can’t do it from abroad! 🙃

I’ll get back to them as soon as I possibly can.. In the meantime I’m eating my body weight in paella and staying hydrated with copious amounts of sangria & Aperol. 🍷 🍹

How amazing do best friends Elaine & Jane look at Elaine’s son’s wedding at Brig O Doon this week! 🩵 🤍

Mother of the groom, Elaine chose a bespoke sweeping brim style hat in pale blue with natural coloured silk, we added a ch*****ne gold central leaf detail to match her beautiful dress, and finished it off with pale blue feathers.

Jane chose a bespoke halo style headpiece in ivory to complement the colours in her dress with subtle gold details to tie in her accessories.

Lorna chose a sweeping brim style fascinator in jade, trimmed with navy to compliment the neckline on her dress. A large statement focal feather detail & veiling with contrasting individual jade diamond feathers to finish off the piece.

I’ve had a few messages asking if I’m still working, due to my last post.

I can confirm I’m still very much working, currently sewing in the sun. 😎

4 day week as I have another Dermot day on Friday. 🍹 ☀️ 🤩

Bespoke pieces have limited availability currently, but handmade hires are always available. 🛍️

Life update… out of studio! 🤕

So I’ve had a dodgy knee for some time, had an op around 10 years ago on it and now need another on the same knee due to another tear & cyst.
Unfortunately due to overcompensating for my bad knee, my good knee needs operating on too! 🙃
Consultant advised last month a 9-12 month wait for surgery, but literally been advised this morning that both ops will be done at the same time, ASAP after our summer plans, probably July time.

I an unsure of how long I will be unavailable for consultations etc, I’ll still be able to process hires and hopefully make lots of new hire pieces while I’m recovering but anything urgent I’d advise to book in ASAP please!

We have a family holiday mid June and a Dublin weekend trip beginning of July and my operation should be just after this. 🗓️
