A beautiful coat that held so much sentimental value to my customer that she requested I alter it to fit her (so she wear it rather than just look at it in the wardrobe). The sleeves were too long and wide, there was a bulk of fabric under the arms and on the collar lapels and the coat was too wide on the body. Wave a magic wand all over and ta da! It fits 🥰

I had the pleasure of making these 4 beautiful memory cushions in December.

The hoodies no longer fit so have become perfect cushions to snuggle with when watching a film, (and have an ideal place to store treats in the drawstring hood/pocket!)

If you know someone (any age) who is eager to learn to sew or wants to enhance their skills then a one hour sewing class with a qualified DBS checked teacher would be an ideal pressie! (They do not even need to own a sewing machine). Please like and share 🎄🎁☺️

For the ‘crafty’ person in your life, why not gift them a sewing lesson with me to use at a time that suits them in the new year?!

In a 1 hour lesson they could learn to sew a simple cushion cover with button and buttonhole, insert a zip and make a pencil or make up case, learn how to create neat seam and hem finishes or just get to grips with the ins and outs of a sewing machine and over locker!

In several lessons they could learn to read and follow pattern instructions to make a simple top or skirt.

*I’ve taught textiles and fashion for the last 20 years, am DBS checked and have insurance to teach in my home or the comfort of yours. No sewing machine or experience is needed. I am happy to travel up to 20 minutes away from Maulden, please DM with any questions ☺️

Wedding dress tweaks a couple of weeks before the big day. The modesty panel was riding up the back of the dress/underneath the lacing, so a hook and eye fastening was added. The end of the tie was fraying so needed neatening. The bride asked if I could help to lace her into her bodice on her wedding day and of course I said yes! It was a privilege to be part of her big day and help her to dress and feel special 🥰.
