finish line💔

🎉: beyond proud of myself to have completed and passed my 8 week textile training programme at dumfries house. the skills i have learned will be forever valuable and help me continue my journey in the world of textiles and sewing. alongside completing the course, i also (sadly) finished my 4 day work placement at ingles buchan in glasgow. a fantastic warehouse of tartan accessories and an unforgettable team who i miss already, but i hope to be back soon😇

PAGE UPDATE💛💜

Since my last 8 weeks have been spent sewing and working away 7 days a week, I have come to the conclusion that I had been neglecting my page, and my brand💔. My time at Dumfries House in the LVMH Textile Centre has really opened my eyes to the sewing industry and introduced me to working and learning with different techniques, fabric and environments that I am not used to. To my 4 day placements at an accessories distributor in Glasgow, to making and distributing our own accessories to be sold to the public, this is a route that I am extremely interested in pursuing while continuing my career as a trained textile designer. I hope you all continue to follow me on my crazy journey and enjoy the new content and brand revamp💛💜

FINALLY! Some good news on the design front; I have successfully been accepted to join an industry for sewing course which will use my current skills and learned new ones and put them to work eventually in an industry work placement! I cannot wait to get started and get on the career path that is right for me🤩💝

Dug out the old hand loom and with the weirdest colour combo of yarns I have ever used. 4-6 hours down yesterday, and this is all I have...still, onwards and upwards✌🏽✨

sorry that I haven’t been active for over a month, guys, crazy. i am struggling with working 5-6 days a week and having no time to find inspiration to start a new project, which is bringing me down immensely. working in a job that I hate, while looking for one that relates to my degree, the page has taken a bit of a back seat and I think it is time for a change. i am due to go on holiday and get a proper break from everything and really give myself some headspace to explore and eventually execute some ideas and inspiration to get myself back into my uni mindset which i miss.

🥳POST GRADUATION UPDATE👩🏼‍🎓

Cannot believe it has been over a week since I graduated; what a wonderful day and service for all the 4th year students, congratulations again to us all.
•
I wanted to take the time and post this update as I haven’t been very active as of late. Working like crazy and having little to no time to myself is taking its toll. Sadly, due to all this workload and financial difficulty, I am unable to attend New Designers in London this coming week. I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken at my situation but, it is what it is and I wish all my fellow year group and friends attending the very best of luck and support, you guys will smash it!👏🏽🥰

Aside from this, I am currently looking at job opportunities while working; within design companies and researching into possibly starting my own business. Hard work pays off, and I am hopeful still for where my design career will take me.😊✨
