Hi everyone, Charlotte here! 👋

If you're new, welcome! This is Phoebe's Wardrobe - my Mum's gorgeous independent pre-loved clothing and accessories shop in Menai Bridge, Anglesey.

A few weeks ago, I started helping Mum with social media to shine a spotlight on the shop because she never has, and well, a lot of you showed up!

Since then, we've been a little quiet as I've been visiting Mum with my kids - sunshine, beach, and full on family chaos! We even recruited my eldest to make some posters for the shop 🤣

Meanwhile, we sat and looked at the stats for Facebook and...... oh my.....

- 270,000 people have seen our content 🤯
- 10,000 reactions, comments, shares and clicks
- 500 new followers have joined us, hello to every single one of you!

We never expected anything like that - honestly blown away. So thank you all so much 😊

The plan was for me to help for a month, but Mum's not ready to fly solo just yet....so I'll be helping out a bit longer (and I'm secretly quite glad because this summer we're going to try out some of the ideas you all have given us - more on that soon!)

But first, we wanted to ask if there was anything you wanted to hear more about? What would you like to see more of? Specific stock? Pricing? Brands? Close ups of pieces? Tell us in the comments, we're all ears 😀 and I promise we read every single one.

💚Something exciting is happening tomorrow and it's close to our hearts 💚

One of the things I'm most proud of about what Mum does at her shop is that nothing's the end of the line. There's a whole full circle thing going on there that's very Mum 💕

When you sell with Phoebe's, if you dont want her to return your unsold items she will make sure there're given another chance by donating them to local charities.

Tomorrow (23rd May) Phoebe's Wardrobe is proud to be supporting a big pre-loved clothes sale on Rhosneigr high street in aid of the wonderful St David's Hospice 🫂🤗🌼

Here's a shot of one of their brilliant volunteers collecting donated clothes last week 😀 And of course a BIG Thank you to all of Mum's customers who donate their unsold items, it simply couldn't be done without you! ❤️💛❤️

Have a fantastic bank holiday everyone! Phoebe's will be open on Saturday too, but closed on bank holdiay Monday because Mum has got some VIP visitors coming to see her (aka. Me and my kids 🤣)

P.s. if you're ever in Rhosneigr on a cloud-free evening, please take a walk if you can. Those nights are the best because the sky is so dark and it literally feels like you're standing under a blanket of 10000s of stars 🌠⭐️💫🌟✨️🔭🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

OK, so I need to talk about something that's been on my mind since I started this little FB takeover for Mum's shop.

A few of you have mentioned that you've walked past Mum's shop and assumed it was out of your price range. I completely understand why. From the outside it looks a bit boutique-y.

But here's the thing: it's a second hand shop. Everything in there is pre-loved. And the prices reflect that. 🥰

Yes, there are some beautiful things in there: European linen, quality pieces that have clearly been bought from somewhere lovely. But there's also Zara, M&S, FatFace, Mint Velvet, Seasalt, Joules etc all in brilliant condition, all at second hand prices. The kind of thing you'd be buzzing to find.

The reason it looks the way it does isn't because Mum is trying to be fancy. It's because she genuinely can't help herself lol! 🤣Every single item in that shop has been hand-picked by her. If it doesn't meet the bar, it doesn't go on the rail.

And then she organises everything by size, but not just the label size, because as we all know, a 12 is not always a 12. She makes a judgement call and puts it where it'll actually fit you. Then by colour, so you can scan a rail in thirty seconds and know exactly what you want to try. 🙌🎀🥳 You don’t need to rifle through a jumble to find a gem, because she's already done that bit.💚💛

She just never thought to say any of this out loud. That's where I come in ☺️

Hi everyone, Charlotte here again! So whilst Mum still lives on Anglesey, I live in Manchester. But I grew up on Anglesey and miss it most days, especially on days like the one in this photo 🌞. That was also the day I finally convinced Mum to let me ‘take over’ her Facebook for a month. My mission? To show everyone just how special her little shop is. (Mum’s brilliant with clothes… social media, not so much!)

A huge thank you to everyone who’s liked, shared, or commented so far, we’ve had over 83,000 views of our posts and 2,000 visits to the page!!!!! I can’t tell you how much that means to us, and as a bonus, Mum is starting to think Facebook isn’t so scary after all.

Anglesey will always hold a special place in my heart. It's where my family, friends, and childhood memories are, and of course, Mum’s shop. If you live here, lucky you! What is a dress agency? 🧐🤭

With so many new followers lately, I thought I’d do a quick reminder plus Mum does get asked this alot!

Simply put, it’s a shop where women bring the clothes they no longer wear, and the shop sells them on their behalf. When a piece finds a new home, the original owner and the shop share the sale price.

So when you come into Phoebe’s Wardrobe, you’re browsing a beautiful, ever-changing collection of quality pre-loved pieces, hand-picked, ready to buy, and take home with you that very day. Nothing is rented. Nothing is borrowed. Just lovely clothes, looking for the right person to wear them again.

Sellers also have the option to donate any unsold clothes to a local charity after a certain period. Thousands of pounds have been raised this way, and I’m so proud that Mum has made this part of her shop ✨🥳

💚🙌Dress for yourself, not the season 🙌💚

Was talking to Mum this weekend about what to tell you all about why shopping Phoebe's Wardrobe is so good 😍 One of the things she said was....

"Something that's always bothered me about the high street and fashion in general is that every season someone, somewhere, decides what colours, shapes and fabrics we should all be wearing, then the shops are full of exactly that. And if that happens not to suit you, well, tough luck basically!"🫤

But walk into Mum's shop and its completely not like that 🥳. There's no 'this seasons palette'. Just lots of beautiful clothes in all sorts of colours and styles, collected from other women with fab taste!

Classic quality clothes don't go out of date. And the colours and styles that suit ✨YOU✨ don't change either just because its been decided somewhere that it's the year of mustard yellow!!

That's one of the best things about shopping pre-loved. Loads more choice ❤️
