A small business run from the heart of Mevagissey making and designing textiles inspired by Cornwall. I love beach combing and walking the coastal paths with my husband and our dogs and I always carry a notebook with me to jot down ideas. Another passion is gardening and beginning to use flowers in my designs.

Lucky to have a few days aways on Dorset/Hampshire border.
The weather didn’t stop us going out and about a few dark clouds and dodging rain. A trip into the New Forest was a must love seeing all the ponies. Also a walk around Mudeford spit and stopped Charmouth unfortunately no fossils found. Great site lots of open spaces and a nice walk for the dogs.

Sunday was a very special day in Mevagissey. Not only was it a beautiful sunny day, it’s was lifeboat day.
The harbour was packed with people all wanting to join in the events that were happening and to support a very worthy cause.
We also had a very special visitor to make the day even better. The Waverley the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer. Wow was she beautiful and big. The last time she visited Mevagissey was in 1997 we hope she won’t leave it so long to visit us again. A very special day. 🌞

We are back after a few days break in Dorset such a beautiful county. So much to see and do no time to get bored.
We stayed at Wareham Forset touring park situated almost in the middle of the forest. The walks are wonderful so much wildlife and the bird song is almost deafening.
We have visited several time and will be back in the autumn.
Now it’s back to my workshop and to sewing.

I have been a little lapse on posting recently but I haven’t been idle. Busy working on new designs.
This is my take on Mevagissey and St. Ives lighthouses which are virtually identical.
I am pleased with how they have turned out. They are free motioned embroidered onto spec cases.
The lighthouse pictured is the one in Mevagissey.
