🧶 Terri and Marie in Fair Isle - 17th-24th September 2025

Join two designers with two paths into Fair Isle tradition…

✨ Marie Bruhat, French born Fair Isle resident best known for her expertise and teaching on hand-frame machine knitting, staying true to traditions the Island of Fair Isle is known for. Marie’s traditional Fair Isle Fisherman’s kep is one of the project options on offer for the week.

✨ Terri Laura, a Shetlander with a special interest in colour carrying on the family tradition of blending hand and machine knitting will share her Shetland yoke jumper design, not yet published in English and available exclusively on this retreat.

Both projects are customisable and supported by over 28 hours of expert tuition from Marie and Terri, two designers whose careers centre around Fair Isle knitting and everything Shetland wool.

You’ll stay at the beautifully rebuilt Fair Isle Bird Observatory, with full-board meals, sea views, and space to knit, rest, and connect.

Join us to enjoy:
• Creative workshops
• Quality time with fellow knitters
• Customisable projects
• Beautiful island accommodation
• Cultural visits & guided walks
