Hey friends, I've got some news. Today the estate agents installed a "to let" sign on my little shop which means exactly that, I'm moving out π₯Ί. The past 2 years on Charles Street have been amazing I've loved all of it, meeting everyone, making friends, the joy of finding that perfect item you needed in my warren of storage that you just couldn't find anywhere else, especially in a pinch! It's been a real journey and you all have each been a piece of making that special for me. Having zero experience in running my own shop, only dreams, I've learned so so much, every day is a learning day and every interaction in that has helped me somewhat in achieving my goals so thank you.
I've put off writing this message as the shop has been my happy place for a long time, so I didn't really want to write this but I have to prioritise.
I'm closing for now due to my own work load, I've a few side projects that need attention (watch this spaceπ), but also the pressures that have been put out this year, none of which have helped our high street. The street closures haven't gone unnoticed, cost of living etc, but also the world has been slightly chaotic hasn't it ?! We are all feeling the weight.
Anywho, I feel in these situations you have to move sideways for a while before you move upwards, I'll still be present online, and doing clothes recycling here in our town as is my passion.
I'm not going anywhere far I'll still be doing all the fayres, pop up shops and events that I can, but I have other projects on in the background that I simply can't right now justify putting off, to be present in the shop. If there was a way I could do it all, trust me I would! So, I need to close for 6 months to put all my plans in place and then I'll be back! Unfortunately I cannot expect the owners of the shop to wait for me so I have had to make the hard decision to leave and just hope its the right one!
But! There's a little Brucey bonus for you all, I'll be having a 25% off all clothing sale starting tomorrow until *25th JULY*, plus some antique items, so please pop on by, say farewell (for now) and grab yourself a little bargain! The shop will be full to the rafters with all the stock I've been squirreling away in storage, ripe for picking, but also may look a tad chaotic π
I just want to give you all the chance to grab anything you want before I go so as I always say, apologies for the chaos π€£. Thank you all again, I will see you all somewhere soon I'm sure π
