How beautiful does look here! 😍

Aud decided at the beginning of the year that she wanted to learn to sew, and with the help of Sam from and myself, she has accomplished so much.

This dress is a bespoke pattern created by me, which Aud privately commissioned based on one of her favourite dresses. And now she can’t stop making it in all sorts of wonderful fabrics!

Aud is a true inspiration to anyone feeling a little nervous about tackling their next sewing project.

Just think… what’s the worst that can happen if you make a mistake? A bit of paper needs fixing? A bit of fabric needs unpicking?

That’s all part of learning.

So get stuck in, pick up that project you’ve been wanting to make, and give it a go! ✂️❤️

We’re working from Sew Different’s beautiful studio space at Dean Clough Mills while creating trouser blocks tailored to each of their individual measurements. Then we’ll move on to using those blocks with commercial patterns, as well as adapting them to create their own designs.

Turn “almost right” into just right.

A practical, hands-on session for anyone who sews and wants to improve the fit of their handmade garments.

Bring along one garment you’ve made (and ideally the original pattern), and we’ll work through what’s going wrong and how to fix it.

In the session, you’ll:
⭐ Work out why your garment isn’t fitting as you expected
⭐ Learn how to identify common fitting issues
⭐ Make adjustments to your pattern so it’s right for you
⭐ Pin and discuss improvements to your garment

Leave with a clearer understanding of how to get better results next time

This isn’t about starting from scratch or needing pattern cutting experience. It’s about making what you’ve already made work better for your body.

These will take place at both Thread Space and Stitch Make Create
