Fancy a look inside Scotland's Wood-Fired Distillery for free?

Each year we open our doors for a behind the scenes look at what happens at our craft distillery. Free tours all day - though we recommend booking your spot. We'll be mashing in and distilling so you'll get to see it all in action, plus a wee taste or two.

Tours available at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30. Each tour lasts approx 45 minutes. We also have a bar serving our favourite cocktails, local beers and cider. Under 18s welcome but must be with an adult. Hope to see you there!

Congratulations are in order for The Corner Gallery which sits as its name suggests on a corner site of the High Street . This year they celebrate their 40th anniversary.

Local businesswoman Anne Chaudhry opened the shop back in 1985. Her interest in the work of individual Scottish knitwear designers was sparked in the first instance whilst being involved in a Dumfries and Galloway enterprise trust project on Sanquhar Knitwear.

Her core products now are quality knitwear from northern Scottish cottage industries predominantly in Shetland and Orkney.

In 1995 she opened her second shop in Kirkcudbright.

In 2015 Anne’s daughter Bina took over the Moffat shop at the same time as it moved to its present site roughly 50 metres from its original site . Bina has added her own contemporary spin and also handles their online presence .

A real asset to our High Street and something to be celebrated .

For something really special then Moffat is also lucky to have The Corner Gallery. I was super excited to spend my 2024 & 2025 collection of birthday gift vouchers at this fantastic shop. The quality of their products is top notch and the staff are super helpful. I "canny" wait to wear my new jumper. A big thank you to Cakes by Pam & Ian, Gordon & Anne and Diane & Paul.

☕✨ Festive Hours at Wee Crook Café ✨☕

As our first festive season arrives, we’re feeling so grateful for every visit, smile, and Crook Inn story since we opened in October 🧡

We’ll be open daily 10am–4pm
Hot food until 3pm | Takeaway from 9am

We’ll be here right up until Tuesday 23rd December, closing at 4pm for a short winter break.

We’ll reopen with festive cosiness from
27th–31st December — 10am–4pm

Then we’re taking a little pause 1st–4th January to rest and recharge.

We’ll be back bright and refreshed on
Monday 5th January — from 10am

As we step into the new year, we’re excited to introduce table service to make your visits even more relaxed and welcoming—just take a seat and we’ll look after you.

In Dumfries and Galloway we have Kircudbright, the artists town, Castle Douglas, the Foodie town… Moffat the Eagle Town but also the Meet Here town …

We witness it every day. Friends and families driving from all directions to meet in Moffat . Just off the M74 and the A708 and A701 pass through. Plenty of eateries and places to stay, lovely shops to browse, beautiful scenery , walking routes and an interesting history. Most of all, always a warm welcome.
