“How much will this cost?” — Part 2

So, you've sent us the inspiration picture and we've established the scale of production… but we're still not quite ready to give you a price.

Why?

Because there are other factors behind the scenes that can significantly affect your quotation.

One of the biggest is TIME and MANPOWER.

How long has the venue given us to set up?

A design that we have 6 hours to install may require a completely different size team if we're only given 2 or 3 hours to achieve the same result.

And remember — everything has to be finished, cleaned up and picture-perfect before your guests arrive.

So when you receive a décor quotation, you're not only paying for the flowers, backdrop, centrepieces or beautiful things you can physically see.

You're also paying for the people, planning, logistics and professional ex*****on required to make it all happen on time.

There really is so much that happens behind the scenes. ❤️

How much will this cost?” 🤔 — Part 1

This is probably one of the most common questions we receive as event decorators — usually accompanied by a beautiful inspiration picture.

But the truth is, event décor is not one-size-fits-all, and an inspiration photo alone isn't enough to give an accurate quotation.

Before we can price your event properly, there are several things we need to consider — from the venue itself and how accessible the event space is, to the scale of production required.

A simple setup involving centrepieces and a backdrop is very different from a full production involving large floral installations, staging, lighting, dance floors and other installations.

And that's only the beginning… 👀

A deposit doesn't just secure your décor — it secures your DATE.

One thing clients don't always realise is that the work doesn't start when you see us arrive at the venue.

The work starts the moment you book us.

Planning, designing, checking and reserving inventory, sourcing, logistics, staffing — and sometimes turning away another client because that date has already been reserved for you.

So when a client changes their mind because they've found someone cheaper, it doesn't mean that no work has been done simply because the event hasn't happened yet.

This is exactly why we have booking terms and why our deposits are non-refundable, as clearly stated in our policy.

There's always so much happening behind the scenes before you see the finished transformation. ❤️

Your deposit secures more than a date. It starts the process of bringing your vision to life.
