Seamstress based in Newhaven with over 10 years professional experience. Specialising in alterations to Wedding dresses, Bridesmaid and Prom dresses.

Since graduating in Fashion Design in 2004 I have worked in the fashion industry in London as a pattern cutter and garment technologist for High Street brands such as Jigsaw, Miss Selfridge and Ted Baker. With over 10 years experience, I have expert knowledge of fitting and amending clothing to get that perfect fit. I have recently moved from London to Newhaven, and am here to help with all your local seamstress needs!

Hello Everyone! I have had a few messages lately so wanted to post a quick update - I am not currently doing any alterations work from home.
If you are looking for Bridal alterations I can recommend “Stacey Anne Bridal” (who I am working for, so it may still be me sewing your dress 😉)
I am keeping this page ‘live’ because who knows what the future holds but for now… not alterations… big apologies to anyone waiting for me to reply 💕💕

I’ve had a few messages lately so just wanted to post an update that I am still on maternity leave with my two monkeys. We are moving back to Newhaven before Christmas and after that I will probably start working again in some form or another... but for the time being I’m not doing alterations. Sorry if I haven’t replied to any messages, I’ve got my hands pretty full at the moment! xx

✨ BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! ✨
I am closing down my alterations business in Newhaven as we are moving to Manchester next week!! Things have been super chaotic here the past few weeks trying to sort everything out, so sorry if I haven’t replied to any messages lately!
I am very proud of how successful my business has been these past 3 years, and would like to say a special thank you to all the lovely brides who have passed through my little workroom over the years. I will really miss seeing the happiness and excitement of brides when they collect their dresses, knowing I’ve made a difference to their special days 🙂 but I’m very excited to start our new adventures in the North! xx

Been a bit quiet on here lately as just been super busy! Balancing work and life can be tricky sometimes, getting back on top of things this week - sorry if I’ve missed getting back to any messages my brain is a bit frazzled!!

Time for another ♡♡ thanks Lianne for sending over these lovely photos from her wedding earlier this summer. Her dress was gorgeous and only needed the hem taking up and a few small alterations to fit perfectly... you can just see her cool blue shoes peeking out from underneath! I also attached the embellished belt to add a bit of extra sparkle! Love it 😍

Thanks to Katie for sending over these gorgeous photos from her wedding earlier this spring 😍 I adjusted the length on her ‘Acaica’ dress from and made some small alterations around the bodice to make sure it fit perfectly, as well as carefully adding hidden loops to bustle up the chiffon side panels. I’m so lucky to get to work with such beautiful dresses and lovely brides!

Getting this beauty ready for its second fitting tomorrow ♡
Second fits are the halfway point in the alterations process. Any lace or embellishment has to be removed before altering, and as it is very time consuming to reattach everything by hand, I always like to make sure that the fit is spot on before re-attaching everything! So it can be a bit strange to see your dress naked of lace and beads in patches! But rest assured that once my work is finished it will look exactly like it did before!

So peak wedding season seems to be slowing down a bit now for me... phew! Got a few autumn brides coming for first fittings today, I’m excited to see some new dresses!
