The RSPCA Little Valley Shop in Newton Abbot prides itself on selling quality items at great prices. It has a loyal team of volunteers helping to run the shop and is managed by Dawn and Rachael. We often hold events in the shop, from Glitz & Glamour to wedding fayres and of course our 50p yard sales at the back of the shop, weather permitting. We also love recycling

clothing and have a reduce, reuse and recycle clothing bin, perfect for craft projects. Feel free to message us if something takes your fancy, we can reserve items for 48 hours. And if you would like to become an Animal Hero we always welcome new volunteers to our team. We are one of six shops raising funds for the Devon Branch of the RSPCA, Little Valley Animal Shelter located on the outskirts of Exeter. The Shelter, founded in 1991, supports the work of local RSPCA inspectors by caring for and rehoming over 1000 of the neediest animals from our local area every year. Little Valley costs in the region of £10,000 a week to run and receives no funding from the RSPCA National Society toward the day to day running costs, this all has to be met from local fundraising which is why your support is essential to us. Beautiful Taco is a 2 year old male who is finding the cattery very scary at the moment. He is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can settle in at his own pace and gain confidence in his new surroundings.

Taco hasnt been at the shelter long so may take some time to discover his true personality. He may grow into a cat who enjoys plenty of human companionship, or he may prefer a more independent lifestyle. Either way, he will need adopters who are happy to let him set the pace and give him the time and space he needs to come out of his shell.

He would prefer to be the only pet in the home and could potentially live with sensible teenager who understands his need for patience and reassurance. A semi-rural home would suit him perfectly, offering a quieter environment and the opportunity to explore the outdoors at a quieter pace once he has settled.

Every day at Little Valley Animal Shelter, our team helps animals recover, rebuild their confidence and find loving new homes.

We're looking for an Animal Care Assistant to join us on a full-time basis and help provide outstanding care for the dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and other animals that rely on us.

This is a rewarding, hands-on role for someone with animal care experience, a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for animal welfare.

📍 Exeter
⏰ Full Time, 37.5 hours per week (rota basis)
💷 £13.23 per hour
